Unleashed at the Beach - Pet Peeves 2015 South Beach Soiree
Wednesday, September 16, 2015
6pm - 9pm
Crest Hollow Country Club
Woodbury, NY

Our Pet Peeves South Beach event will be held on September 16th at Crest Hollow Country Club. This fun event offers a wonderful way to support animals in need at a one-of-a-kind event! This year we are honoring First Responders of Long Island who rescue countless pets on a daily basis.  Please join us as we say "THANK YOU" to our community's heroes!   Sponsorship's are available for $500 to $5,000 and tickets are just $100 in advance/$125 at the door (see link above). Every level of support is greatly appreciated. We are issuing grants to 16 Long Island-based non-profits who make a difference in so many innocent lives. Pet Peeves' 3-part mission focuses on providing financial support to non-profit organizations including: no-kills shelters and rescue groups, humane education programs that teach children compassion, and initiatives where animals provide therapy to the sick, elderly or disabled. Pet Peeves is a non-profit organization run completely by volunteers. We employ no full-time staff and with no "brick and mortar" facilities to fund, all proceeds are used in support of desperate animals on Long Island. For more information click here.

Lance, #9818 is a beautiful, calm and affectionate DSH. Guesstimated to be 5yrs young, this sweetheart was found drowning in a canal. Thankfully someone found him and quickly brought him into the shelter. After a through examination we came to find that this young fellow is blind, (which is probably how he ended up almost drowning!). Despite this Gorgeous tabby's disability he is so easy going, and is an absolute cuddle bug. He loves attention, comes to one's voice, doesn't mind being picked up and even likes other cats! Just crinkle a treat bag near him & he's yours.

Reina, #8173 is about 4 years young. She's the official office dog, sharing chairs, toys, and trying for lunches. In as stray 7 months ago - found at a parkway exit with a small dog. Reina seems dog selective, not a fan of cats or small children. She adores adults, likes older kids, is gentle with treats, knows basic commands, and crates up quietly. She good on leash, loving, sweet and entertains herself by playing with toys. She is good to go! Reina is on medication for seizures so it is super urgent that we get her into a home!
