Doggie Fashion Show

The Animal Awareness and Rescue Club of Suffolk County Community College will host its first Doggie Fashion Show on April 16 at Windows on the Lake, Lake Ronkonkoma NY, from 7:00-11:00 pm. Admission is $60.00 (door admission price $65.00 if space is still available). The event will raise awareness about rescue organizations and shelters on Long Island and provide attendees an opportunity to meet pets who are up for adoption. The show will include dogs from shelters and rescue organizations, as well as vendors and raffle prizes. Awards will be given to the winning dogs and there will be great giveaways for all attendees and participants. Our students need your help in making this event a success! Please join us for a wonderful evening that includes the fashion show, buffet dinner, dessert and prizes. Cash bar. For more info call 631-451-4716.

We'll be teaming up with our friends at Even Flow Bar and Grill on April 19th. Come down and donate, eat some amazing food (award winning wings!) and drink! We'll have a raffle and merchandise for sale too. Some of our favorite local bands will be rocking out for you all to enjoy. On the schedule is Czech Funk, The Trouble Makers and The Bobcats. One more band to be announced. $15 a person gets you in the doors and gets you free wings for the first hour!

 Sophie is approximately 4-5 yrs old and around 50-60 lbs. she is spayed and UTD on vaccinations. Sophie is a playful, lovable girl. Sophie loves children and lots of attention. She enjoys playing with all sorts of toys. She would do best in a home as the only pet.
Sophie has spent the last three years in a shelter and would just love a home if her own.

 Onyx is a terrier mix approximately 3 yrs old. Approximately 70 lbs. neutered and UTD on vaccinations. Onyx is a sweet boy. He can be shy at first but will warm up in no time. He loves to go on walks and adventure outside. Playful with toys but is happy just sitting by your side and share some kisses. He would be best in a home with other stable dogs and older kids.

 A true Ambassador for his breed and a staff favorite, Squeaky is a very happy, affectionate dog looking to be your only animal. He loves people and kids of all ages! He is gentle, walks nicely on a leash, is housebroken, knows basic commands, and lives for belly rubs! He is a lovable guy who deserves a great home.

 Wilma is an 8 year old Akita mix who is looking for her new forever home after her family lost theirs. She is a people lover with miles of smiles! Wilma would be best suited as the only pet in the home. Full of fun, love and light, Wilma will be a great best friend & loyal sidekick! She has quickly become one of our staff favorites!
