Adoption Corner!
Introducing Wilma & Betty, Allie and Acis!
These two adorable senior Labs need to go home together. They love one another so much! Wilma (chocolate lab) and Betty (black lab) were found together, dumped on the street. They are 10+ years old and would love a comfy home to live their last few years in. They are your typical labs, so even at 10+ they still have energy and tons of heart. They love snacks and know the sit command. They would do best without small kids bugging them. Please open up your heart and home to these two old girls.

Allie is a beautiful 2 year old calico who was found at 4 weeks old. The other cat in the home was aggressive and Allie had to go. We took her into foster care and eventually into our adoption program at Petco. Allie hated being confined in a cage so she went back into foster care. Allie is a sweet cat and loves her freedom within a home. She is fully vetted and in great health. She prefers to be the only diva in an adult home. We hope you can give her the home she longs for and deserves.
If you are intersted in adopting Allie, please contact

Acis #5138 is aces! 7 years young, shepherd mix - it's a mystery why nobody ever looked for him and everyone passed him by. Brought in 8 months ago when running on the street, Acis had signs of neglect. He's been well cared for and loved by staff and volunteers ever since; but he is not HOME. He is great with people, likes most dogs (but not cats), knows commands and would love the comfort of a home. Acis was recently diagnosed with a tick borne disease for which he is being treated & which makes his situation more urgent.
Acis is at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter 3320 Beltagh Ave.
