How System Saver helped my Gretchen!

"Miss Gretchen is my golden retriever, who is 14.5 years old. Her walk became very ridged. She didnt want to play any more. She struggled a lot to get up and would often hurt herself doing so. Gretchen was not a happy dog.

I took Gretchen to DR. Regina Schwabe because I thought her spine was out of line. DR. Schwabe siad she had severe arthritis. DR. Schwabe gave me a bottle of System Saver to try for Gretchen. On the fourth day of treating Gretchen with the System Saver I noticed she was walking less ridged. I was amazed because Gretchen weighs 107 pounds, I did not expect any results so fast!

Gretchen has been taking the System Saver for one month now, and she still is continuing to improve. Gretchen use to always shift her weight back and forth on her front legs, this has decreased to the point of rarely doing it at all!

Gretchen also has chronic bronchitis. To my surprise this too has decreased drastically. Gretchen is now much happier, not only does it show in her facial expressions, Gretchen now wants to play a little, almost on a daily basis.
I have cut Gretchens pain meds in half, and Gretchen is doing much better now, than when she was on a full dose of pain meds.

On Saturday June 7th from 11am to 2pm Last Hope Animal Rescue will be holding a free rabies vaccine clinic for dogs and cats at Babylon Town Animal Shelter, 51 Lamar St. West Babylon 11704. All Long Island pet owners are eligible; no appointment necessary, but all pets must be at least 4 months old. Dogs must be leashed, and cats need to be in carriers. Dogs must be dog & people-friendly. This rabies clinic is made possible because of grant assistance from Pet Peeves, Inc.- the voice of Long Island Pets. Pet First Aid & CPR on Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 2:00 pm - 6:00pm at the Bid-a-wee Learning Center in Wantagh (3300 Beltagh Avenue, Wantagh, NY 11793). The class is limited to 15 people and a portion of the proceeds will go to Pet Safe Coalition. Using a life sized stuffed animal dog, this class will teach participants how to: restrain an injured or ill pet; CPR and rescue breathing; bleeding injuries; heat element injuries; spring and summer dangers to pets and how to prevent them; bandaging; insect bites and much more. Attendees will learn life saving techniques for their furry loved ones and make is a safer summer season by being educated in pet first aid and CPR. Adoption Corner!

Introducing Molly, Bella & Willow!

Wonderful Molly, a 7+yrs Amstaff Mix is truly a forgotten friend. Staff and volunteers favorite; 1/2 her life @ a shelter, then another 1/2 year with us. Finally placed in a home where she flourished for 8 months then returned when the family split up. We need her to be back in a FOREVER home ASAP before she breaks down. Molly loves people, walks beautifully on the leash, is dog selective so best as an only pet. She is usually fine with large, calm male dogs, but is not a fan of cats or small animals.

Poor Bella, #4064 with us since early March when her parent passed and family brought her in to be euthanized since they weren't "cat people". Bella is a youthful 9yrs, B/W DSH. She is terrified in the shelter, very shy and doesn't understand what happened. She warms to those who go slow; volunteers brush her and she enjoys that. Bella will be most comfortable in a quiet, cat savvy adult home where she can relax & bloom. Bella had lived with another cat in her original home and does not deserve to languish in a shelter cage.

Blue Willow, #2380, a lab/pointer/terrier mix is a little over a year and sadly, is growing up in the shelter. Picked up as a stray in early September 2013, we treated her for an URI and fur loss. That healed nicely; unfortunately in a shelter a puppy can't get the constant input they so need. Blue is an energetic and happy little girl (under 50#) who loves people & other dogs but needs to learn impulse control and better leash manners. She will do well in a focused calm home where consistency will help her be a great pet.
