Live.Love.Bark Rescue!
Friday, April 18, 2014

Doggie U K9 Academy and Long Island Pet Professionals will be hosting a special Easter Egg Hunt just for the dogs on Friday, April 18, 2014 from 7pm to 9pm. The dog who finds the most treat filled eggs in a 2 minute time period, wins a Easter Basket filled with, yes you guessed it doggie toys, treats and pet products! Aside from all the fur flying, eh em, egg flying fun that Fluffy and Buster will be having while doing their best 'nose-work' to find the most eggs, this event will benefit Live.Love.Bark Dog Rescue group. Live.Love.Bark is the non-profit rescue group that works directly with the Islip Animal Shelter and Adopt-A-Pet Center, and Doggie U is thrilled to be able to donate a portion of the proceeds to the event. Each dog that hops into the Easter Egg Hunt ring will have their pet parent pay $10 per dog to participate in the egg hunting!
The event is being held from 7pm to 9pm and guests are asked to bring their leashed dogs to join in on the fun. For more information about the event contact Doggie U at (631) 968-7972 or by email at [email protected].

Adoption Corner!
Introducing Hazel, Caramel & Adrienne!
Hazel is a sweet girl who is about a year old. She is a little shy but very friendly. She tested ok with cats so far. (She seemed more afraid of them than anything.) She should be fine in a home with children. She knows sit and down! Hazel is now part of the Canine Good Citizen training program!
She is available at: Islip Animal Shelter and Adopt-a-Pet Center 210 S. Denver Ave, Bay Shore, NY 11706 631-224-5660
Ron # 4070, Honey # 4071, and Baby # 4072 (Main Coone Mixes) are a trio of 16 year old siblings, turned into the shelter when their person passed away. Honey and her brothers are so sad and confused; they need to find a home as soon as possible before this change does them damage. All three are mellow and loving cats, use to quiet and each other for comfort. We have updated all their medical and hope they find a loving home for their final years.
Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter 3320 Beltagh Avenue Wantagh, NY 11793, (516) 785-5220
Adrienne is a petite, energetic & special girl. She is hard of hearing, yet very smart and knows her commands through sign language! This bright, social girl is just under 2 years old and has loads of potential. Adrienne has been here for a long time waiting her turn for that special someone out there. For the month of April, SASF is waiving our adoption fees on all of our Patient Pets here more than 90 days. Adrienne is patiently waiting! Come meet her and play awhile! You won't regret it!
Adrienne is available for adoption at: 102 Old Riverhead Road West Hampton Bays, New York 11946 (631) 728-7387
