Adoption Corner!

Introducing Willow & Licorice!

Blue Willow, case # 2380, came in as a stray pup in September 2013. She is approximately 11 months old, a slender girl who may be a Labrador / terrier mix. She arrived malnourished and with a skin condition and URI.
All is well healed; she has been brought up to date on vax, spayed, microchipped and awaits a home in which to grow up. Willow loves people and likes most dogs. She needs some training after spending her formative months in the shelter but she is a smart girl and eager to please. She would be best in a home with adults or tweens and up due to her exuberance. She has been going on offsite events and loves the social activity. Please consider giving her a great home!

Licorice, case # 2195, is about 2 years old, a beautiful sleek black cat with mysterious golden eyes and a green ring around the pupil. Mesmerizing! She was found with two other cats (likely her kittens) on a street in Freeport in late summer 2013; the other kitties have since been adopted. She likes to play & loves to get brushed & petted.  It's a shame that in this day and age people are still superstitious about black cats. Bring a little luck and a lot of love into your life by adopting Licorice. Please do not put her in a home with dogs - they scare her - or want her to be a travel buddy, she's a real homebody.

Both Pets are at the
Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter.
