Join ARF along with other Long Island shelters at the Riverhead Polish Hall, 214 Marcy Ave from 11am-3pm. A hundred cats and dogs will be available for adoption as well as an agility course for both cats and dogs to run through. Join in a Halloween pet costume parade and contest. All animals at the event are spayed/neutered, vaccinated to their age limit and checked by a veterinarian. FREE admission, adoption fees apply. Refreshments and giveaways. Feral Cat Workshop

This workshop is intended to help anyone and everyone caring for cats as a "professional" colony caretaker or just a backyard feeder with a few cats. We hope to give you all the knowledge you need to help the cats in your care. Our guest speakers include Dr Senk, DVM, Amy Chaitoff, Animal Welfare Attorney, Dave from Pets4luv foundation and more. We will also have some info on making feral cat housing for the winter from Joe Reichert. The event price includes a light breakfast and lunch. Last Hope Animal Rescue is hosting a Comedy Night at Governor's in Levittown on November 6th. Tickets are $50 which includes the show AND a delicious buffet dinner, dessert, complimentary soft drinks, coffee/tea - Cash bar available. There will be a 50/50 and large selection of gift basket raffles. Doors will open at 6:30 pm - We ask that you please arrive by 7:00 pm - no reserved tables, First come, first serve seating - so arrive early.
