Worship Schedule Sign-up

We are trying a new way to sign-up for helping with worship. Go to the Immanuel website www.Immanuellakegeneva.org and click on "Worship Sign Up" and choose the month and service of which you would like to help. You will see highlighted in yellow the positions that need to be filled.  Please just click in the box or by the number and type your name.  When you exit out, it automatically saves your name in that spot.  Anyone who clicks on the link will see the updated version.

There is also a sign-up board in the Fellowship Hall to manually sign-up if you prefer to do it that way.  Or you can always email me dates, times and position you would like to fill.  One of the reasons we are trying this is when we pass clipboards around, some people don't see the clipboards and some positions we get 3 people for 1 spot. I appreciate your comments and suggestions.  It's important to make this easy and welcoming for all.  Thank you, again, for your willingness to serve!  You are a gift!  Know you are loved! Cynthia Hibbard, Ministry Coordinator ministry_coord@immanuellg.org

Hymnals

Please help yourself to a hymnal at the entrance of the worship space if you like to follow the music for hymns. Hymnals are also available at each church entrance which can be taken home.

Beverages are available following the first service at the Welcome Center Counter in the Gathering Space. Help yourself to information about Immanuel on the counter. Our Coffee Hour follows the first service in the Fellowship Hall to the left of the worship space. Join us for treats, beverages, and conversation. It's a great way to meet new friends, and to share in fellowship with others. All are welcome!! Many thanks to those who help serve for these two ministries. If you are interested in helping, we need you!! Sign up on the Worship Card. Thanks!

Parking on Sundays and Special Services

Able bodied members are encouraged to park in the outer parking stalls or the Middle School Lot when they can, so visitors and seniors can be closer to the entrances. Many Thanks! It's a wonderful challenge to already be short on parking spaces! Praise God, who gives the growth!!

Community Connections Meal Committee

At the last Community Meal, we served about 85 meals on a very cold night. The committee was thrilled as with it being so cold we were hoping for about 40 people. We seem to be reaching more folks who need this meal. Quite a few are hearing about us from friends, or those who have attended before.

As a committee, we are so grateful for all the support the church membership has given us since we started in August. Donations from the congregation have included hams, turkeys, as much ground beef as we can use, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, desserts, monetary donations and valuable volunteer time. Immanuel is truly a blessed church with so many people following what our Lord has encouraged us to do. Our church "walks the talk." Our committee is truly blessed to serve our God in this manner. Hard work, yes, of course, but the joy of the Lord is truly present in this committee. Jill Rosenthal

Thanks

+ Thank you to all who attended our Mission Trip Spaghetti Dinner and Dessert Auction Fundraiser. We appreciate your support and we hope you enjoyed the dinner, desserts and the fellowship. It was an awesome turnout and event!

+ A big thank you to Steve Zlotnik for providing the bus and pizza for the 3:16 Middle School Youth Group outing to the Casting Crown Concert.

+ Jo Stutzman, formerly a member of Immanuel, sends her greetings and love to everyone who might remember her and her husband, Del. She is making progress in recovering from her stroke about a year ago.

+ Hello! I can't tell you what fun it was to receive the bag of gifts from Immanuel Church when I returned to our hotel room on Friday. Everything was very much appreciated, mostly the delicious cranberry bread especially since I can't do any baking in our hotel room! I also enjoyed going through the recipes of the cookbook, and reading your church's newsletter. It certainly seems like you have a wonderful church. Please relay to those involved in this "Welcome" committee ministry just how much it is appreciated. Kind regards, Carol & Mark Rholl

+ A huge thank you to Immanuel Lutheran Church for your donations and time to help so many who are fed at the St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen. The clothes donations have helped people who really need a fresh start. Our people appreciate your love more than you can imagine! Thank you for your generosity. St. Vincent de Paul Meal Program: Hands of Christ Conference

+ Thank you to Mark Becky & McAuliffe and Bobbi Gutman for their incredible planning, recruitment and leadership of the Gospel Concert. Also thanks to their diligence in selling tickets. They raised an extra $1051.00 which was divided between the Music Ministry and Missions Ministry!

+ Thanks to all adults who helped with Youth Quake this year. We appreciate your time and passion for sharing Christ with our youth.

+ Dear Maddie and all who helped, a very special thank you the boot drive that you sponsored at your school for the St. Vincent de Paul Meal Program. We were as excited to hand them out as our guests were to get them. Last night we gave 40 pairs out in about 20 minutes with the extreme cold snap that we have had these past few weeks. Warm and dry boots are a top priority to help keep our guests safe. It's like a warm hug to give such a meaningful gift to those who are most in need. We are blessed by your generosity and hard work to be able to show our guests that God watches out for them through the love of others. Your project is an inspiration to all who were witness to your kindness and determination to make someone's life a lot better. Blessings to you all, Casey Gill

+ Thank you to the Next Door Pub (Chad and Amy Bittner) for donating the entire makings for the spaghetti dinner! We are so blessed by your generosity! The dinner was delicious! Your donation enabled us to have one of the best dessert auctions ever! Thank you! -The 2015 Kentucky Mission Team

+ Thank you to all who donated desserts, gift certificates, or volunteered to help even when you didn't have a family member on the team! You are all amazing! Thank you, too, to all who came to the spaghetti dinner and auction and supported our team. Lots of fun was had by all! Thank you to Jim and Jeri Gaugert for auctioning off all the items! Your teamwork and the laughter and bids you create are incredible. Thank you to all the adult leaders who worked hard to make the auction and dinner run smoothly! You all stepped up to the plate and hit a home run! We are blessed with such an amazing community of faith that supports all of our efforts to help others. Blessings to all! -2015 Kentucky Mission Team

+Thank you to the organizers of the Gospel concert in February for the extra donation to the mission trip! The bake sale was a huge success, but your added gift was the icing on the cake! Thank you so much for your generosity! - 2015 Kentucky Mission Team

+ We'd like to graciously thank Gregg Kunes and the staff at Kunes Ford, Delavan for letting our middle school team borrow two vans for our Youth Quake trip. Thanks to his generous donation of two vans for the weekend, all of our middle school children had the ability to make it up to the Wilderness Resort and arrive safely home afterwards.
