Vacation Bible Camp - July 27-31
All children going into 4K-6th grade are welcome to join us nightly, July 27-31, 5-8 p.m. for Vacation Bible Camp at Immanuel.
We'll start each evening with a WELCOME WOW in the sanctuary, sing songs and learn about Jesus' love for us in Bible Study. Our adventure continues each night with games, crafts, and dinner! We'll end each night with more songs and a Weird Wrap-Up.
Please fill out the registration form found on-line on our website immanuellakegeneva.org or a hard copy in the church office and return it to the church office as soon as possible so we can get our Zoo Crews ready.

Liturgical Arts Team
The Liturgical Arts Team has worked timelessly to transform our new worship space and to begin to decorate the rest of the building. They are taking a well-deserved break from their weekly schedule, and will start up again in late summer.
Jubilate!
Jubilate choir is taking time off in June and July to recharge their batteries. Rehearsals will resume in August on Wednesday nights from 6:45 - 8:00 p.m. in the music room!! New members are certainly encouraged to attend and are warmly welcomed! Rehearsal CD's will be available for those who do NOT read music and learn by hearing. Praise Team
The Praise Team meets from 8:00PM-9:00PM on Wednesday nights for weekly rehearsals. The team leads contemporary worship music and introduces fresh new music at two services. If you play an instrument, love singing, or have technological interests, contact John Ivan at johndavidivan@yahoo.com to see how you can participate.
Bells of Immanuel
The Bells of Immanuel are taking off the months of June and July to enjoy the many summer events. They will begin rehearsals in August. Watch for details.
Youth Praise Team
Immanuel's Youth Praise Team meets on Wednesday evenings from 5:30PM-6:30PM. The group for teens 6th through 12th grade needs vocalists, instrumentalists, and other participants to expand this promising ministry. Media Specialists
The media team utilizes modern technology during every worship service. We are so grateful for their incredible devotion and humble hearts. Positions include running the computer, managing the sound board, and operating live video. We are especially inviting newcomers to learn the new system. Now is a perfect time to get involved as we will ALL be learning the new system! Contact John Ivan at johndavidivan@yahoo.com so he can inform you of the upcoming training sessions.

Please help yourself to a hymnal at the entrance of the worship space if you like to follow the music for hymns.
Coffee Hour:
Beverages are available following the first service at the Welcome Center Counter in the Gathering Space. Help yourself to information about Immanuel on the counter. Our Coffee Hour follows the first service in the Fellowship Hall to the left of the worship space. Join us for treats, beverages, and conversation. It's a great way to meet new friends, and to share in fellowship with others. All are welcome!! Many thanks to those who help serve for these two ministries. The Adult Sunday School Class
The Adult Sunday School Class meets in the Conference Room, in the administrative area to the right of Sanctuary, at 9:45 a.m. They are studying the short books of the Bible. All are welcome!
Sizzling Summer Wednesday Night Series - "The Road to Freedom!"
Our 2nd "Sizzling Summer Wednesday Night is on July 16, beginning with a potluck dinner at 5:30 PM. Tacos will be served. Please bring a dish to pass. Informal worship follows in the Fellowship Hall at 6:15 PM including songs, scripture, video clips," a message, and children's message. Each child will receive a special gift related to the theme.
This series is based on the movie, "Second Hand Lion." Following worship, we will have a Children's Program, and Small Group Bible Study conversations from 7-8:00 PM.
Men's Breakfast and Bible Study
Men are all welcome on Saturday, July 26th at 7:30 a.m. to gather at church for a delicious breakfast, and conversation about God's Word! Bring your favorite food to share for the meal - and come with a desire to deepen your relationship with Christ and other men of faith.

Sunday Morning Nursery Staff
A nurseryis provided during each service for children 4 and under to the left of the Sanctuary. Children over 5 years are encouraged to join their families during worship. Little treats are available on the coffee bar counter. Please help yourself to a "busy bag" for your pre-schooler at the entrance to the worship space, to help your child stay focused during worship.
Back to School Clothes and Supplies for Kids
All families are welcome to our Back to School Clothes and Supplies for Kids sale, Saturday, August 16, 2013, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm at Immanuel. Gently used clean children's clothing available for $.25 per item
(bring laundry basket, bags or a box to put items in), School Supplies.
We welcome donations of gently used clean or new clothing and school supplies. Backpacks are an incredible gift as well. All proceeds will benefit Side By Side.
Vacation Bible Camp
Vacation Bible Camp is July 27th-July31st! The fun starts at 5:00 p.m. and runs to 8:00 p.m., for children from Preschool through 6th Grade. We are still looking for volunteers to join us. Our next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 19th at 6 p.m. Please contact Brianna at 248-4211 if you are interested in helping, but cannot make the meeting.
Our Vacation Bible Camp Decorating Crew is looking for donations of pool noodles for our, "Weird Animals" Theme. We would also appreciate any monetary donations to purchase paint and duct tape. Thank you!

Day Care News
Little Sprouts Learning Center to open on August 25, 2014 -
The day care team would like to thank all those people: who helped us unload the semi of new furnishings, remove furnishings from the boxes they were shipped in, assemble items needing assembly, clean up the used items from Sue Gifford's old day care, arrange classrooms for our pre-licensing inspection on June 19th, planned and ordered the wonderful sinks, countertops and ample storage cabinets for each room, manned the nursery while working around our new equipment, AND who helped support and finance our new child care mission!
The fencing and playground equipment are ready to be installed.
The Day Care is for children from 6 weeks to 4 year olds. Please share the news with friends needing child care. If you know of anyone who wants to work with children full-time or part-time as a lead teacher or assistant teacher, please encourage them to call the church a.s.a.p. Our teaching staff will start mid-August.
Day Care Registration
We are accepting registration forms for children in our new "Little Sprouts" Day Care. The Day Care will open this fall for children ages 6 weeks to 4 years of age.

The Vibe: Middle School After School Program
The "Vibe Tribe Team" is planning to launch our After School Program for Middle School students in September! You are welcome to participate as we develop the activities and projects that will capture the imagination of middle schoolers. There is a boatload of work ahead, creating schedules, recruiting and training volunteers and setting up the space. The next Vibe Tribe Meeting is Monday, June 30th, 5:30 p.m.

CRUSADERS HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP
High School Youth Mission Trip
Our Youth Mission Team leaves for Puerto Rico on June 21. We have 40 teens and adults on The Team. They serve alongside our new partner congregation, Sion Lutheran Church in Bayamon. We will help with repairs at the church and with rebuilding 3 homes in the neighborhood.

Beachbody Fit Event

Community Connections Meal
Sunday, July 13, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. join us for our first community meal, providing a nutritious meal, access to community resources and new friendships. The meal is a free gift.
Starting Thursday, August 21st, meals will be on the 3rd Thursday of each month, from 5:15 - 6:30 p.m. All are welcome!
Relay For Life
Immanuel is sponsoring a team at the "Relay For Life" of Walworth County on July 18, 2014. Sign-up with Sara Wahlstedt or Ashley Miu- Alexander to walk or help the American Cancer Society fight against cancer. Look for a sign-up sheet and details for this event at the church Welcome Center.
Uganda Children's Choir
The Uganda Children's Choir will be at Immanuel the week-end of September 4-6. The children are ages 9-11 in 2nd and 3rd grade. We will need housing for 2 nights for 20 children and 8 adults. If you can host, please let Pastor Mary Ann know. They will perform a concert on Friday, September 5th at Immanuel for the entire community. Their music will bless you in unimaginable ways. The concert will be from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Invite your friends and save the date!
St. Vincent De Paul (Milwaukee) Soup Kitchen
The Soup Kitchen needs basic toiletries, towels and men's underwear, and ESPECIALLY MEN'S JEANS. Please bring them to the church office. Thanks!
Agape House Full-Time Ministry Position
A Resident Assistant for a full-time Ministry position at Agape House in Walworth, Wisconsin is available. This young women would mentor girls in the home, life skills, offering them the love of the Lord and support they need while helping them overcome the hurts from their past. Side By Side
Side By Side is a collaborative ministry between area churches and civic groups that raises funds to help individuals and families in crisis in the Lake Geneva Area School District. Help is available with rent, utilities and prescriptions.
Side By Side Screening
Side By Side screening is the 3rd Tuesday of each month, July 15thth, at 7:00 p.m. at the First Congregational UCC Church, 715 Wisconsin Street, Lake Geneva. Funds are available for rental assistance, utilities and prescription medicines. Applicants must reside in the Lake Geneva School District. Bring a copy of the bill you need help paying.

The "Pillowcase "Ministry
Beautiful handmade pillowcases are available for seriously ill children to have at the hospital or at home during their convalescence. The therapeutic effect they have is definitely a gift from Heaven!! Please let the office know of your need.
Blood Pressure Checks
Immanuel will have blood pressure checks after the 1st service on the 3nd Sunday of each month in Pastor Mary Ann's office.

Card Ministry
Our Card Ministry will gather on Thursday, July 17th at 6:30 p.m. at church. This fabulous group creates greeting cards to encourage folks who are ill, hospitalized, or grieving. All are welcome - and there is no cost to participate!
Feed My Starving Children
Evie and Dennis Schulz are launching a "Feed My Starving Children Mobile Event" Immanuel Team and will serve as our Team Captains. You are invited to a "Feed My Starving Children" dinner on Sunday, August 3rd, from 5-6 p.m. at Immanuel. We will enjoy a simple baked potato dinner with toppings, beverages and dessert together. Evie and Dennis will give a presentation on this amazing feeding ministry. We will all have the opportunity to also sign-up for a 2 hour shift on Saturday, October 4th with Christians from all over our area to help package meals that will be sent to the hungry around the world. Watch for more information and dates the dates!!!
AA Meetings
AA Meetings: Our Women's AA Meeting - Sundays at 4:00 p.m. in the Community Room to the left of the Fellowship Hall. Open AA Meetings - Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. at Immanuel in the Community Room.
Weight Watchers Meeting

Saturday Bicycle Rides
Come exercise and enjoy bike riding with others from Immanuel! Meet at church on Saturday's beginning July 5th, 8:00 a.m. All levels of riders welcome - even whole families!
Sailboat Rides / Learning to Sail
Pastors Mark and Mary Ann would be honored to take folks who want to sail or learn to sail, out on Lake Geneva. Call them if you're interested at 262-215-3177 (Mary Ann) or 2626-215-5204 (Mark). Sailing depends on good wind, of course, and the pastors will try to find a time that works for you!
Electronic Giving
A number of givers have signed up for our new electronic giving program. Go to our web page at www.Immanuellakegeneva.org and click the "Online Giving" option. This giving program allows you to give on a weekly, monthly, or yearly basis depending on your preferences, as well as special gifts and mission donations.
Free Smoke Detectors
The Lake Geneva Fire Department is committed to ensuring the safety of all citizens in the Lake Geneva area. A working smoke detector is the most important measure you can take to prevent injury or death in the event of a fire. The fire department if offering to install smoke detectors, free of charge, for any resident in Lake Geneva. You may request smoke detectors by calling 248-7228. Check with Pastor Mark if you have questions.

+ Glenda Hill, a friend of the congregation, who was injured in an auto accident in April, is recuperating and rehabilitating nicely but slowly at Willowfield in Delavan. She sends heartfelt thanks for all prayers, notes, cards, and calls, and is amazed, thrilled and impressed by the Card Ministry's creation.
