The Final Worship Services are Sunday, December 29th, 8:15, 9:45 and 11:07 a.m. in our current building. A "Camel Caravan" will follow the 3rd service to New Church Building at 12:15 p.m.

The Grand Opening Worship services are on Sunday, January 12th, 8:15, 9:45 and 11:07 a.m. at our new church building. The Grand Opening Celebration for the community is 1:00-3:00 p.m.! Invite your friends! There will be family activities, lunch, ministry fair, building tours. Enter to win a Kindle Fire and a 3 month family membership to the YMCA.
Worship Leader Training - Very Important!
Thursday, January 2nd, 6:30 p.m., we invite all worship leaders: assisting ministers, communion assistants, ushers, greeters, prayer ministers and head usher, to attend this training session on leading worship in the new church building. We want our first services to go smoothly and need your participation.
Jubilate!
The Jubilate choir meets Wednesday nights from 6:45PM-8:00PM downstairs in the music room!!! Yeah! We will be launching exciting new music including anthems to celebrate the new building, anthems for Lent, Holy Week and Easter. New members are certainly encouraged to attend and are warmly welcomed! We are excited and eager to sing in the "new space" as it promises to be exquisite! This winter would be a fabulous time to join the excitement. Rehearsal CD's will be available for those who do NOT read music and learn by hearing. Praise Team
The Praise Team meets from 8:00PM-9:00PM on Wednesday nights for weekly rehearsals. The team leads contemporary worship music and introduces fresh new music-often at two services. Bells of Immanuel
The Bells of Immanuel rehearse on Sunday mornings from 9:00AM-10:00AM. Director Ellen Hanson has exciting anthems for people of ALL different skill levels. Youth Praise Team
Immanuel's Youth Praise Team meets on Wednesday evenings from 5:30PM-6:30PM. The group for teens 6th through 12th grade needs vocalists, instrumentalists, and other participants to expand this promising and vital ministry-especially as we transition into the new church. Parents, encourage your children to join and cultivate their growing musical talents. The youth will gain vital experience in church leadership and discover new ways to connect with God! Media Specialists
The media team utilizes modern technology during every worship service throughout the year. We are so grateful for their incredible devotion and humble hearts. Positions include running the computer, managing the sound board, and operating live video. As we transition to the new building, we are especially outreaching to new people to come and learn the new system. Now would be a perfect time to get involved as we will ALL be learning the new system! Contact John Ivan at johndavidivan@yahoo.com so he can inform you of the training sessions forthcoming.

Attention Counters: If you are interested in counting again for 2014, please write your name down under the time(s) you wish to count. DISCIPLESHIP NEWS
New Members Discovery Class
New Members Discovery Class meets Sunday, January 19th, 12:30 p.m. at church. Pizza will be served. Please sign up on the Worship Card if you plan to attend, so we know how much pizza to order! Let us know also if you need child care during the session.
Men's Breakfast and Bible Study
Men are all welcome on Saturday, January 25th at 7:30 a.m. to gather at church for a delicious breakfast, and conversation about God's Word! Bring your favorite food to share for the meal - and come with a hunger to go deeper in your relationship with Christ.

CHILDREN'S NEWS
Sunday Morning Nursery Staff
A nursery is provided during each service for children 5 and under in the basement. Children older than 5 years are encouraged to join their families during the church service. We provide "Busy Bags" and "Grams" to help our older children stay focused during worship.
Sunday School
Immanuel's Sunday School Christmas Program, "Christmas in Black and White: Discovering the Real Story of Christmas", will be held on Sunday, December 22, at all three services. Don't miss this adorable presentation of the birth of Christ.
FINAL PAGEANT REHEARSALS:
Today: 9:30 a.m. to 9:55 a.m.
Wednesday Evening 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for speaking parts and 6:30 p.m. to 7:00-7:15 p.m. singing, followed by Confirmation.

9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. speaking parts
10:30 to 11:00 a.m. solos

Just For Kids
"Just for Kids" Before and After-School Program has begun. Our School Age Daycare Program is open to all children ages 4K through 5th Grade. The program will move to our new church home in January! Our Before School Program runs from 6:15 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. bus pickup. Our After-School Program starts with a 3:45 p.m. bus drop off and a pick up anytime up to 6:00 p.m. The cost for this program is $4.50/hr and includes a snack or breakfast.
Early Release Day
Thank you to our wonderful Early Release Day Volunteers! Our next Early Release Day is scheduled for Thursday, January 9th. Please contact Brianna if you would like to help out or donate snacks/juice to the program at 248-4211.
First Communion Class
A First Communion Class is January 18th, 10:00 a.m. at church for children who are ready to take Holy Communion. We ask a parent, grandparent or other close adult to attend with their children. Call the church office to register. 262-248-4211

3:16 MIDDLE SCHOOL NEWS
6th-8th Grade
Join us on Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45a.m. for our Confirmation Classes, and Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00pm for our 3:16 Youth Group! The group is growing by leaps and bounds! Be sure to bring a friend.
We will not have 3:16 Youth Group on Wednesday, January 1st.
We will a have Worship Sundays on January 19 - no class on this day.
3:16 Youth Group Movie Night
Our 3:16 Youth Group Movie Night has been rescheduled for Friday, January 24th at 7pm! Join us for our first event in the new building while we enjoy a movie and light snacks!
3:16 Confirmation Youth Group Lock-In
We will have an overnight Lock-In on Friday, February 21st! Invite your friends! If you are interested in chaperoning, please contact Sami.
Youth Quake 2014
Youth Quake is set for March 21-23 at the Wilderness Resort! All 6-8th grade students and their friends are welcome! If you are bringing a friend, please make sure they join us at Youth Group prior to the Quake.

R.E.A.D.S Mentor Program

Side By Side Screening
Side By Side screeningis the 3rd Tuesday of each month, January 21st, at 7:00 p.m. at the First Congregational UCC Church, 715 Wisconsin Street, Lake Geneva. Funds are available for rental assistance, utilities and prescription medicines. Applicants must reside in the Lake Geneva School District. Bring a copy of the bill you need help paying.
Meals on Wheels Volunteers Needed

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Card Ministry
Our Card Ministry will gather on Thursday, January 16th at 6:30 p.m. at church. This fabulous group creates greeting cards to encourage folks who are ill, hospitalized, or grieving. Immanuel will have blood pressure checks on the 3nd Sunday of each month in Pastor Mark's office.
Geneva Lake Manor Volunteers
Geneva Lake Manor is in need of volunteers who like to help with group or individual activities with Seniors. Here are some examples of opportunities where you can make a difference: crafting, men's club, cooking, bingo, card games, singing or entertaining, board games, community outings, gardening, reading, walks & special events. Lutherdale Ministries
Lutherdale is building lives in Christ. They strive to keep camp affordable for today's families. All are welcome and no one is turned away for financial reasons. Open Arms Free Clinic
Open Arms Free Clinic is a multi-faith community in Elkhorn, across from the high school at 797 E. Geneva St. It is open for eligibility screening on Wed. from 2-7 PM, and Thursday for patients from 2-7 PM. The clinic is provides free primary medical care, education, and prescriptions to residents or those who work in Walworth County without health insurance after eligibility screening. Coupons for Servicemen and Women

WC Food Pantry
The WC Food Pantry is open Wednesdays from 1:00-5:00 PM, and Saturdays from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM, on the corner of Highway H North and Hwy. NN. They are in desperate need of dish soap.

FELLOWSHIP AND MEETINGS
Annual Meeting - January 26th, 2014
Our Annual Meeting is Sunday, January 26th at 9:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m., following the 1st and 3rd services. We will vote on the 2014 Budget and elect council members. The 4 council members who have completed 1 term and are eligible for re-election and have expressed their willingness to continue to serve on council. They are Heidi Schuessler, Frank Peiler, Jody Teske and Scot Hodkiewicz. We are so grateful for our entire council. They are an incredibly faithful and gifted team of leaders.

Electronic Giving
A number of givers have signed up for our new electronic giving program. Go to our web page at www.Immanuellakegeneva.org and click the "Online Giving" option. This giving program allows you to give on a weekly, monthly, or yearly basis depending on your preferences, as well as special gifts and mission donations.
Church Council Meeting
The Church Council meets Tuesday, January 14th, 7:00 p.m. at church.

New Building Update
We are now in the home stretch for completion of our new church building. The administrative/classroom wing and the fellowship hall are substantially finished. The remaining work will be concentrated in the worship space. Many thanks to members for their painting and clean-up work. We remain on schedule for our move starting December 29, 2013. We'll need lots of help to get everything accomplished before our first worship on January 5, 2014. Please keep all the workers and volunteers in your prayers as we move forward.
