Autumn Small Group Bible Studies

Two spectacular All-Church Spiritual Growth Campaigns are available this Fall, and we don't want you to miss out on either one!

Becoming Who God Says You Are

Our first Small Group Bible Study is in it's 2nd of 5 weeks. "Who God Says You Are" is by nationally recognized author Craig Groschel.

Pastor Groschel writes: "You are not who others think you are. You are not even who you think you are. Take your idea of your own identity; lay it down on the altar, and sacrifice it. Why? Because you are who God says you are. Until you've sacrificed your broken concept of your identity, you won't become who you are meant to be."

You'll Get Through This: Hope and Help for Your Turbulent Times

Our second Small Group Bible Study begins the week of Oct. 13, and will be done the week of Nov. 17. This is a brand new 6 session study by internationally acclaimed author Max Lucado.

Pastor Lucado writes: "You fear you won't make it through. We all do. We fear that the depression will never lift, the yelling will never stop, the pain will never leave. In the pits, surrounded by steep walls and aching reminders, we wonder: Will this gray sky ever brighten? This load ever lighten?"

Both studies include:

  • Small Group Bible Studies! Check out the schedule of Small Groups available throughout the week, at a variety of times and locations.       There is a group for YOU!
  • Participant's Guide.       Includes notes for the video teaching, Biblical texts, discussion questions, and personal studies.
  • Video Presentations. Both authors, Pastor Groschel and Max Lucado, will offer us superb teachings to spark our conversations!

Zach Harrod

Zach Harrod continues to work in Prague, Czech. He asks us to please pray for his mission church, TaCesta, and leaders, as they continue to journey together and "define" who they are and what God is calling them to do in Prague and beyond. Zach says: I have loved working with the church. Pray that God would show us what my role looks like with TaCesta, as we yearn to see God stir and awaken hearts here in Prague, Czech and Europe!" If you would like to send a donation to his ministry, make your checks out to TEAM with Zach's name in the memo line and account number 011176 and send it to his organization.

The address:     TEAM, PO Box 969, Wheaton, IL 90167

Thank you for being part of the Revolution. Zach Harrod

New Building Update

Great progress continues to be made on our new facility. Half the roof is now completely covered and side walls are up. Interior stud walls are in place in the south wing. Sub-contractors are busy with fire sprinklers, heating/air-conditioning, plumbing, and electrical.

Sidewalks and curbs are in place, and the parking lot is being paved. Landscaping begins soon. It's looking like a church!

Many thanks to volunteers who clean up each day after the construction crews leave. Please contact Jerry Baker if you can help (939-0091). We are grateful to all who have been building retaining walls under the direction of Pete Juergens. We are saving a significant amount of money by doing some of the work ourselves.

Please keep members of the Building Team, under the leadership of Pete Juergens, in your prayers. They are working very hard and making essential decisions to bring the project to a successful completion. We thank them for their wisdom, patience, and leadership.

Finally, please include all the workers on the job in prayer, to use their skill to glorify God, and to watch over and keep them safe.

+ Riely Mikrut passionately sang "Give Me Faith", accompanied by Cherub Grace, on August 18th. We were incredibly blessed by her tender singing; her passion for God shines through her music! Riely also gave a powerful testimony of her missionary work for the last year. Thanks be to God for her incredible witness! Follow this link to see:

+ What a FABULOUS trio by Amberleigh Aller, Eileen Weyrauch, and Kathy Middleton on September 15th! The unique sound of soprano, flute, and organ to this classic hymn perfectly complimented the evocative text. If you missed it, see here:
