12:29 HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP
High School Mission Trip
Thank you to all who prayed for us on our mission trip and supported the teens with monetary donations! Your kindness made a huge impact on the lives of our teens as well as the community of Crown Point, New Mexico! The youth look forward to sharing their experiences with you on July 29th at all 3 services! Thank you again and many blessings to you and your family!
From Our High School Youth Director:
Where to begin...it has been a year since I accepted the position as High School youth group leader! In that year, I have had the wonderful experience to work with our amazing, talented and incredible teens! What a gift it is to be able to share a faith in Jesus and to work alongside these youth who are so passionate about sharing that faith. The teens' and the parents' support and patience with me while I learned what works and what doesn't, was also an immense gift. As we just learned in our first Finding Nemo lesson and in our capital appeal...we are not to worry, God has a plan that is far beyond our imagination...As much as I would love to stay and be a part of the high school team, God is calling my family to California. I can't wait to hear and see what unfolds in yours and my lives. You will always be welcome in my home, to call, email or text me. You are always in my prayers and remember, you are loved! With big hugs (and tears), -Cynthia
Mark your calendars for July 29th - August 2nd. Our High School youth are an integral part of our Vacation Bible Camp Leadership Team. We need all of you amazing teens to help lead the little ones. |

We are in need of helpers to get the groceries at Aldi's for the Lake Geneva Food Pantry. We tend to shop once a week and if we could get bunches of volunteers, we may need you once every 8-10 weeks. I have found that it's generally about two carts, fully loaded, that are purchased, so a van, truck or SUV are needed. Food need only be taken to the United Congregational Church and delivered to the basement; you won't need to put it away. If you are or you know of anyone interested and willing to help us, please call Jean Benedict at 248-3874. It takes about two hours, you will be provided with a list of items to be purchased and payment, and you will be 'trained'. Thank you so much for considering to help us help the hungry, we really appreciate it.
Pets Admirable Service
You may have sent a letter or care package to troops - but what about their four-legged artners? Right now, 12 Tactical Explosive Detection Dogs (TEDDs) are serving with the Ohio Army National Guard's 37th Brigade Combat Team in Afghanistan. These highly trained dogs, who by tradition hold rank one step above their handlers, search out bombs in combat zones. "Our job is helping to save lives, and being able to do something that machines or people alone can't do," says Spc. Devin Cooper, a handler from Columbus. "When people see my TEDD, they always say, 'I miss my dog back home.' It's just good company having him around." Handlers don't need boxes of doggie gear, but they welcome letters of support for their dogs. Send notes to Mickey Tolar or drop off in the office and she will mail all the letters.

Immanuel is so blessed to have talented musicians with servants hearts. It is evident that your inspiring music not only touches members of Immanuel, but the entire community. John Ivan
+Thanks to the helpers of our "Finding Nemo" worship series: Praise Team, Small Group Facilitators, Edith and Dan Draper for the food, AV and Media specialists, clean-up Crew and all who brought food!
+Thanks to all on our "Relay For Life Team" who helped raise an amazing $174,013.66 for the American Cancer Society of Walworth County. Team Leaders were Ashley Miu-coordinator, Eileen Weyrauch, Sara Wahlstedt, and Linda McWherter. Thanks to all who financially supported those who walked and those who provided us with delicious bakery to sell. It was an outstanding event! We are also grateful to all who purchased Luminaries in honor or in memory of a loved one.
