Diversity and Inclusion Committee Chair Election:

After seven years in the role of Chair of the Diversity Committee, Jason Hayes has chosen to step down from that post.  During his term as Chair, Jason has worked to facilitate understanding and respect, attempting to shine an honest light on diversity and show that all of us are way more alike than not alike. His work has been instrumental in shaping our community. We commend and thank him for his efforts and service, and look forward to seeing what's next on the horizon for Jason.

The Diversity Committee will hold an election to determine the new Chair for the 2016-2017 school year.

The Chair is responsible for:
  • Setting a schedule of regular meetings
  • Overseeing Diversity-related programming
  • Liaising with the Executive Committee on schedule and budget guidelines.

We encourage interested parents to apply!  If you would like to be considered for this vital role, simply hit 'Apply' and complete the form no later than June 3rd.

Online polling will occur during the first week of June, parents will also have an opportunity to vote in person at the June 7th meeting.  Election results will be announced in the June 13th Weekly PA Bulletin.

Lower School Book Fair

Monday June 13th & Tuesday June 14th
Hooray! It's a Book Fair for the Lower School!

Presented by our own Ms. Sauro & Ms. Barbary, and sponsored by Greenlight Bookstore, the Book Fair will give students a chance to stock up on some summer reads and experience the fun of shopping for the books on their own.

During the school day, students will visit the Book Fair with their classmates.

Accepted payment methods will include: cash, checks made out to Berkeley Carroll School, and credit cards.  The school has created an option for parents to pre-pay for books using a credit card online.  Visit this link to do so:

Parents & siblings are welcome to shop, too; The Book Fair will be open all day from 8 am-4 pm

A percentage of all sales from the Book Fair will go directly towards the purchase of new books for The Berkeley Carroll School.  Support our shelves!
