A PLACE AT THE TABLE shows us how hunger poses serious economic, social and cultural implications for our nation, and that it could be solved by all, if the American public decides - as they have in the past - that making healthy food available and affordable is in the best interest of all of us.

Dr. Brackett is Senior Research Scientist in Psychology, director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, and a Faculty Fellow in the Edward Zigler Center in Child Development and Social Policy at Yale University.

Green Coalition  


Brooklyn Greenway Tree Stewardship
 
Sunday April 24th, 10am-2pm
Meet at BGI's office, 153 Columbia St.
 
 

Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway Tree Maintenance 
 
Volunteer with Brooklyn Greenway Initiative to help care for trees in your community! This work will improve the health and lengthen the life of these trees, and make your neighborhood greener and more beautiful. Volunteers will be trained in litter removal, weeding, cultivating, and mulching techniques. Come dressed in sturdy boots or shoes, long pants, and clothing that can get dirty.

*Students will get 5 hours of community service credits for participating in this event. *

Mothers Day Weekend, May 7-8

This will be a very special event organized and hosted by the Hudson Valley based, wilderness education school, 
Wild Earth
