Sleepover
at the Museum of Natural History
March 12

Cost:  $125 per person (child or adult)

As the doors close and the lights dim, you and your group will head out with flashlights in search of a variety of adventures.

Meet your relatives in the Anne and Bernard Spitzer Hall of Human Origins. Climb the stairs and enter the Age of Dinosaurs, standing beneath a fearsome T. Rex. Explore our live-animal exhibitions with knowledgeable Museum explainers or encounter live animals-bats, wolves, birds of prey-and learn all about their habitats. Then discover the Secret Oceannow showing in 3-D the LeFrak Theater before the night comes to a magical close.

Settle down beneath the 94-foot-long blue whale, next to African elephants, or at the base of a striking volcanic formation and fall asleep in the darkened halls of one of the world's most beloved museums.

Please RSVP early as we will be accepting checks immediately as space is limited and we exceeded 125 attendees last year. Children must be 6 years of age or older.

Please RSVP at EveryonesInvitedBCPA@gmail.com with the subject line: Sleepover at the Museum

Side by Side Activities

A heartfelt "thank you" to all the BC students, parents and staff that have offered their time, talent and treasure in 2015.

The Parent Association would like to acknowledge the hundreds of PreK-12th grade student volunteers that contributed books and coats, walked for breast cancer awareness, baked pies for the homeless, played jazz for marathoners, donated toys and food, wrapped gloves and socks, and more.  We appreciate the BC staff and parent volunteers that helped sort, collect, box, drive, deliver, serve meals, post flyers, send emails, etc.

A special shout out to the PA's Communications Coordinator, Jon Glazer, and to our fall service event chairs:
Michele Baptiste, Kim Bourne, Susie Ellis, Michelle Exline Minovi, Susan Marcinek, Kate Piccard, and Claudia Zeldin. Thank you for building a strong community and helping others!

Safe Sitter is back at Berkeley Carroll
2 Day Course
January 23 & 24, 9am-4pm
Lincoln Place

Cost: $50
Required Age (11-14)

After a brief hiatus, we are excited to announce that we are once again running the Safe Sitter course this winter.

This is a course that teaches young teens (11-14) everything they need to know to be safe when they're home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Students learn life-saving skills, such as how to rescue someone who's choking, and helpful information, like what to do if there's severe weather. The lessons are filled with fun activities and role-playing exercises. Students even get to use CPR manikins to practice CPR or choking rescue.

Registration is FULL -  sign-up for the wait list
