FINAL DIVERSITY COMMITTEE MEETING FOR 2014-15

May 28th from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. in the Cafeteria at 181 Lincoln Place



Greetings Families,

We would like to let you that we have a date for the next (and final) PA Diversity Committee Meeting.  It will take place on May 28th from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. in the Lincoln Place Dining Hall.

For this meeting, we hope to continue our conversations from the last meeting and address the following topics:   
  
  • The PA Diversity Committee - what is in the name, and would you like to change it?  If you have a suggestion for a rebrand please come ready to share.
  • Committee initiatives and priorities for the 15-16 academic year - it's time to start thinking about it already!
  • Volunteers for leading initiatives -  those of you with interest in leading or collaborating on a specific initiative please be ready to raise your hand.

This has been a wonderful year and lets continue to build.

THE PRICE OF POVERTY AND PRIVILEGE: A GLOBAL GIRL SCOUT INITIATIVE

 

An entrepreneurial mind-set has been proven to improve academic performance and increase confidence and overall success.


 

The Girl Scout Cookie Sale is the largest girl-led Business & Entrepreneurship program in the world. Ambassador Girl Scout DeAndra Forde and Senior Girl Scout Lauren Tinglin will share the invaluable knowledge and skills that they have gained from their own cookie sale experiences.


 

Attend this workshop and strengthen five essential skills that will equip you to succeed in school, work, and beyond:

 

* Money Management

* Decision Making

* Goal Setting

* People Skills

* Business Ethics

 

Who: Inspiring entrepreneurs of all ages are welcome.

When: Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 11am-2pm

Where: The Berkeley Carroll School at 181 Lincoln Place Brooklyn, NY 11217

Cost: Registration is FREE! Proceeds from the sale of Girl Scout cookies, books, and patches will combat gender inequality and extreme Poverty in urban slums in Kenya. Bring your own lunch. Space is limited.
