Berkeley Carroll Families at Work in the Community
Coat Drive - Monday, November 3rd through Friday, November 7th
One week only, the Side by Side Committee is collecting gently used coats (any size or style) for needy, immigrant families. Donations will be given to the Evenstart Family Support Center located at PS 503 in Brooklyn. Coats can be left in the marked collection bins at the entrances of 701 Carroll St, 712 Carroll Street, and 181 Lincoln Place. Contact Kate Piccard for more information or to help with sorting and/or delivery.
Thank You
To the many families that donated books to benefit the Brooklyn Public Library. Our school community donated over 1,750 books! Plus, many parents and students volunteered sorting and selling books. A special thanks to Susan Marinek for chairing this successful book drive!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Side by Side is actively looking for parent volunteers to help with various service events throughout the year. If you are interested, please contact Claudia Zeldin.
