Oh, The Places You'll Go!
Do you have a great cross country flight to share?

Maybe an hour or two in the air with a fun reward at the end.  Good food or, even better, some activity such as a museum, beach, interesting tour, or other attraction with easy access from the airport is the goal.  I am working on a "top ten" list of New England flight destinations and would love to have your input.

It's Barbecue Time!

Who's hungry?  Please join us Saturday at noon for a barbecue.  Come as you are and bring a friend!

Thank you to all who joined us last month to support the Monadnock Humane Society's Walk for Animals fund raiser.

Ground School Graduates

Congratulations to our newest graduating class of Private Pilot Ground School students.  Many hours of whiz wheeling, METAR studying, and sectional decoding have paved their way to learning the fundamentals of aviation.  All this under the careful instruction of CFI David Dezendorf.

Look for our next Private Pilot Ground School in the fall and Instrument Ground School in mid-winter.

Brodie Landing System

Have you heard of the Brodie System which was designed for L4 and L5 aircraft to take off and land from LSTs (Landing Ship, Tank)?  Take a look at this video.  It is about 18 minutes long and I promise it's worth watching.  If you're short on time, skip to 7:20 to get right to the take off and landing part. Wow, if I wore a hat I'd tip it to those guys!  (Thanks to Rick Beck for making me aware of this.)

Thank you,

Beth
