Why Come to Keene?

Have you ever seen 30,000, or so, lit jack- o'-lanterns in one place?  It is quite impressive.  Keene is the Guinness record holder for this event. 
 
The annual festival is a terrific way to spend an autumn day in New England. 
Food, music, and many activities all come together in an event sure to please.

Congratulations to Lucy Meyers for the successful completion of her Private Pilot check ride.  Lucy trained with CFI Rick Beck and her check ride was with Designated Pilot Examiner Greg Livernois. Lucy is a terrific young woman and wearing wings suits her well!

Be sure to congratulate our very own Chris
De La Vergne. Chris will be throwing bachelor-hood to the wind and marrying his fiancée Andrea Thompson on Saturday, September 27th. (I have tried and tried to convince him the wedding should be here at the airport on barbecue day and they could fly away with tin cans dangling from the Cessna 172.  Heck, he would not even have to answer the office phones during the ceremony.  Sadly, he has declined my offer!)

A Hangar and a Pickle

 

We have a couple of months before the cold, snow, and ice begin arriving.  Monadnock Aviation has heated hangar space available for winter storage.  Our spaces do fill up so please reserve your spot now. 

 

Whether you hangar with us or not, if you tuck your plane away for the winter, we recommend you have the engine pickled prior to the final farewell.  A hangar and a pickled engine can save you much heartache, and financial strain, come spring.
