For the 56th Annual Art in the Park! 
August 30-31
  

The Monadnock Area Artists Association "Art in the Park" August 30th and August 31st, 10am-4pm in Keene. 85 New England artists, who work in a wide variety of media, will be exhibiting and selling their work in this beautiful setting. Refreshments will be available, and the Keene Music Festival will provide musical performances. Art raffle proceeds fund scholarships for college bound art students. Enter to win a work of art!


Please let us know if we can help with ground transportation to the event.

Barbecue Saturday
  
Looks like a terrific weekend for a barbecue!  Please join us at noon. (John W, your absence at the recent bbqs has been observed. Consider this your personal invitation!)

We are thrilled to applaud Lucy Meyers on her first solo flight.  Lucy trains with CFI Rick Beck in our Piper Warrior.  Lucy hit the ground running on her flight training and has not waivered one bit.  She is one terrific student and will make a fine pilot very soon!

 

Congrats Reed! 

 

Congratulations to Reed Chuda- the newest pilot in Keene!  Reed earned his private pilot ticket this week.  He trained with CFI Gene Moody in our Piper Warrior; his check ride was with Pilot Examiner Greg Livernois.  Reed is heading back to college this month where he studies Aviation Science with a focus on Flight Training.  What a terrific young man!

 

Congrats Rose!
 
Congratulations to Rose Dussell.  Rose is the latest recipient of the Out-of-the-Blue scholarship program which helps with funding for flight training.  She completed her first solo flight last month and is in hot pursuit of her private license.

I really hate to write these words, but it is time to start planning for winter.  While we can't fill your oil tank or split your wood pile, we do have heated hangar space available.

Don't be this guy!

 

When you store your aircraft with us,

we provide "in and out service" so you will not have to struggle to move your plane on an icy ramp.  We also can provide

full service fuel to eliminate you wrestling with a fuel hose in January! 

 

I've already received inquiries about availability for this winter so please let me know soon if you are interested in seasonal or year-round storage. 

Sonex Fly-In

                              

The 6th Annual Northeast Sonex Fly-in will happen at Keene Saturday, September 6 (rain date Sunday the 7th).  You can get details and contact information here. This is a perfect example of a small aviation event which has grown into something greatly anticipated!
