Don't Miss Simulator Saturday
Join us Saturday, December 14th, for Simulator Saturday
11am to 2pm
Monadnock Aviation will open up the simulator for FREE 20 minute sessions with a CFI.
Try our Redbird LD simulator and see its capabilities. Shoot an approach, become familiar with the landing procedures at an airport you are visiting soon, over-fly Paris, or test your skill in a cross wind. Come with a few friends and show who is Top Gun on aircraft carrier landings. There are so many ways the simulator can be fun and functional! Call or email me to reserve your time slot; reservations are not required but are appreciated.
The simulator is a terrific tool to keep your flying skills sharp through the winter. And remember, $500 buys you unlimited simulator use to maintain proficiency for one year (instructor, if needed, is not included).

Congratulations Matt!
Congratulations to Matt Stone for his first solo flight! Matt trains with CFI Gene Moody in "Warrior 836". Matt is a senior in high school and heading to the University of North Dakota next year to further his aviation studies. Way to go Matt!

Congratulations John!
Congratulations to John Dennis who completed his first solo flight! John trains with CFI Gene Moody in our "Warrior 337". John has waited patiently as high wind and low ceiling days have slowed his arrival at his desideratum. Finally, with light wind and clear sky, John's wings were unclipped. Well done John!

How's Rick?
Many of you have inquired about how CFI Rick Bendel is doing. He is doing great; like a kid with a new toy. A really big toy with jet engines! Here he is preparing for a flight into LaGuardia.

Sad News
It is with sadness that I report that Kelby Ferwerda has decided to cease operations of Rochester Aviation. Kelby worked tirelessly to provide outstanding flight training in Rochester, NH, and has decided to pursue other ventures. Kelby ran a terrific flight school and general aviation in New Hampshire takes a blow to the chin with his departure. For those who do not know, Rochester Aviation was named one of AOPA magazine's outstanding flight schools in 2013.

We are looking for a few pet carriers for small to medium sized dogs. Scott Shulman is flying Pilots n Paws flights but needs an IFPCS (in-flight puppy containment system). If you can help, please email Scott.

Airport Restaurant
The negotiations between the city and the restaurant owner hoping to rent the available space at Keene's terminal have stagnated. This leaves the space formerly occupied by the India Pavilion available should you be ready to make your dream of combining eating and flying come to fruition. And since it is Thanksgiving time, I must ask where is Alice when you need her?

The holiday season is here. Monadnock Aviation will be closing for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. If you anticipate needing service, please let us know in advance and we would be happy to help you.
