 Why Come to Keene?

For
October 19th
Noon-8:30PM

Have you ever seen 30,000, or so, lit jack-0-lanterns in one place?  It is quite impressive.  Keene vies for the world record once again this year.  Come and carve a pumpkin at the airport, take it into town on the shuttle bus, and be a part of the record!  Imagine the glory and admiration you will receive from your friends.

Food, music, and lots of activities all make this a perfect family day.

Please let us know if you need help with ground transportation or hotel reservations.

Barbecue Saturday

This Saturday is barbecue day at Keene!  Please join us at noon.

October's barbecue schedule has changed.   Instead of the 3rd Saturday of the month, join us on the 4th Saturday next month.  We will help the Katahdin 99s with their Treasure Hunt barbecue and prizes on October 26th.  This is a terrific way to bring some fun into your flying! Contact Kate McGee for more information on the treasure hunt.

Congratulations Breen

Congratulations to Breen Loney who earned her Private Pilot's License!  She trained in our Piper Warriors with CFIs Rick Bendel and Gene Moody.  Breen's check ride was with Designated Pilot Examiner Greg Livernois.

Breen has trained on summer vacation and returns to college for her senior year!  She is hoping to serve a year with the Peace Corps after graduation (but don't tell her dad!).   We have watched Breen grow from a giggling, nervous novice into a skilled and confident pilot.  Well done Breen!
Congratulations Elliott

Accolades are also due to Elliott Turner.  He too completed his Private Pilot training just in time for college.  Elliott trained in our Cessna 172 with CFI Rick Bendel. His check ride was with Designated Pilot Examiner Greg Livernois.

Elliott is working toward a Bachelors Degree in Aviation at the University of Maine at Augusta.  Nicely done Elliot!
Aircraft Maintenance

We were considering offering a new maintenance service but our Worker's Compensation insurance agent says no way!  Take a look!

Have a great weekend.
