Barbecue Saturday
It is barbecue time at Monadnock Aviation! Please join us at noon.
And while you are here, please carve a pumpkin for Pumpkin Fest. We've got plenty! We'll have the shuttle bus running to and from the airport if you are heading to the festival after the barbecue.
An update on Eddie Smart. Many of you know that Eddie was an A&P with Monadnock Aviation until last fall when he was diagnosed with lung cancer. He moved back south to undergo treatment near family. I am thrilled to say that his last screening showed the lumps were gone! He'll continue under a doctor's care as it is too early to declare him cancer free, but for now, that is terrific news! |
Cheshire Children's Museum
In the last newsletter, I mentioned the aircraft that we placed in the Cheshire Children's Museum. It was very well received by the kids and parents at the grand opening and continues to get heavy use at the museum. We are very proud of this project and here are some pictures to show you why.

Testing Center
Monadnock Aviation is now a PSI/Lasergrade Testing Center! We are all certified proctors which means you can take every one of the FAA written exams right here in Keene!
But wait, that's not all. We also offer a huge variety of professional licensing and certification exams to include nursing and many others in the medical field, FCC tests, meteorological exams, jail manager certification, pest management exams, and too many more to list. Please let us know if you have a test in your future; we would love you to take it with Monadnock Aviation! |
Simulator Efficiency
Have you seen our Redbird LD simulator? You should!
This is a fantastic device for both primary and instrument flight training. The efficiency of training in a simulator is without comparison. A pilot can press the pause button, digest what they are learning, and continue the flight more alert and prepared than in an actual aircraft. Resetting your location back to the VOR, or elsewhere, without actually flying the pattern is another way the simulator offers efficiency. While we agree it does not fully replace training in a real aircraft, it sure is easier on the wallet and has great educational value.
Schedule time with us to practice cross wind landings or brush up on rusty techniques without taking to the sky.

What's in Your Garage?
For all of you aircraft tinkerers who have a plane in pieces in your garage, this man really kicks it up a notch! Take a look at this video. |
Thank You
I hope we say it often, but to reinforce the thought, thank you to all of our customers and supporters.
We just celebrated our fourth birthday! As a family run business, many of you have come to know our kids and have seen us in good times and bad. Likewise, we have been able to share in your personal triumphs and tragedies. I guess that is what being a locally owned business is all about; being a part of the community and sharing laughs and tears. We have been blessed with terrific, intelligent, worldly, savvy customers. Our business is our passion and I hope that shows daily.
Have a terrific weekend.
Thank you,
