Summer time means friends, families, and BBQ's!
Please be aware of the standards for barbeques on balconies, patios, and decks of Multiple Unit Residences. The fire season is upon us and all jurisdictions in Santa Clara County have adopted the Fire Code regulations for barbeques.
Charcoal burners and other open-flame cooking devices shall not be operated on combustible balconies or within ten (10) feet of combustible construction.
There is a code - CFC Section 308.3.1. For further information on how to properly store or use in your neighborhood, please check with your local fire department.

Armed Forces Day - 5K/10K and Festival in the Park

Saturday, May 21st, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Lake Cunningham Regional Park, 2305 S. White Rd.
The Veterans Supportive Services Agency (VSSA) presents a day of family fun in honor of Armed Forces Day. In the morning there will be a 5/10K run as well as a 1 mile walk, with award categories for each. After the race, at 10 a.m., the Festival in the Park will begin, offering live music, a kids' zone, local artists, food, and more. Run Pre-registration is required. Reading Partners is a literacy nonprofit that
mobilizes community volunteers to provide one-on-one tutoring to struggling elementary student readers.
Volunteer as a literacy tutor for as little as one hour per week and empower a child to succeed, make a lifelong impact, and change a child's life!
