Architectural design is the center of Raul Velasquez's practice. Raul has a contemporary style, without denying its Mexican roots and never forgetting it is created to suit a certain place and culture.
This year Raul Has accomplished a major remodel of Casa OKloma in North of San Pancho using the existing structure and taking the best advantage of the views, breezes and volumes to create a unique residence to be enjoyed for years to come.
Since 2004, Raul and his work team have been building custom homes for people from Mexico, the U.S. and other parts of the world, allowing them their wishes to create a dream home by the sea, but always being respectful of the delicate balance between environment and nature. The methods to achieve these goals are to use local materials instead of bringing them from far away places. This way, the use of local products are increased and will not pollute the enviornment with unnecessary transportations. Also Raul utilizes carefully selected craftsmen who have inherited, over many generations, their incredible masonry techniques. All this with intelligent design and a close eye to detail, which result in a most expressive springboard for architecture. Raul also utilizes Green techniques, taking advantage of local materials and other advanced technologies, so water, sea breezes, gravity and the sun can be allies for a functional and comfortable lifestyle. Most of all, Raul's designs aim to conserve our beautiful enviornment and most unique nature.
