Life has been busy here in San Pancho!.  Lots of new classes are starting...There's dancing and clowning and gearing up for Entreamigos events!  It's hard sometimes to keep up with all the great things to see and do in this town.  Keep an eye on the sanpancholife.com calendar to stay informed on all the happenings and music events.  If you have an event open to the public you can post it here or let us know and we will do it for you.

Do you have a passion to dance?  Learn some new moves for the San Pancho street dances?   Shirley Clements, is offering an adult "Groovin" style hip hop fusion for beginners on Monday at 11 a.m.  If you like grooving to Motown you will love this class.   It takes place at the
new dance Bodega
inside the Circo de los Ninos.   The cost for adults is $80 pesos.   There are also two hip hop classes on Saturday that are open to adults and children, beginners is from 12-1 and intermediate hip hop from 1- 2 p.m.  Children are $20 pesos.  Shirley Clements has been teaching dance for the past 40 years,  she recently retired as a high school teacher from Surrey, Canada.

Shirley may look familiar...you may have seen the viral video of her dancing or have caught her performance on Ellen.  The energy that she brings to her teaching is infectious.  We are so very fortunate to have her in San Pancho!!!
(If you haven't seen this viral video of Shirley dancing before...you should)

A lot of you know a friend or family member that seem to have an unleashed desire to do things that most of us would think were a little bit crazy. It could be just about anything that you might think is wacky and maybe a bit off the wall. Well at present there are a group of San Pancho wild spirited adults who are spending their time learning the art of improv combined with dance movement. None of us have any prior experience in this art form. We are all new and very nervously excited to explore this once in a lifetime totally unique opportunity. The end result will be a play written, directed and taught by Gilles Ste-Croix the creative director, co-founder and co-owner of Cirque Du Soleil. The play will be in February or March (date to be announced) to raise money for the youth programs of entre amigos. This is a dream come true for anyone who lives to challenge themselves for the next great experience. The crazy group and I get to experience a gift that is one of those that happen in life that are written down on many a bucket list. We are so fortunate to live in San Pancho, Mexico where the people who live here get to participate in so many opportunities to step out of their comfort zone and participate and be a part of the visual arts.

Thank you Gilles and Monique Ste-Croix
for helping us to believe in ourselves and expanding our horizons.

Good news!!!

The best way to start your day in paradise!

Eva's Tacos is a secret to many people new to San Pancho because it is not on the main street.  The food she turns out in her open-air kitchen above the street on Calle Asia is excellent.  If you love chile rellenos, this is your stop.  Our new favorite on her menu is the chicken mole enchiladas.  Yum!!!

Eva's cooking classes are great fun!  You will meet up with fellow foodies and learn how to prepare authentic Mexican dishes from scratch.  Making your first tortilla is sometimes a reason for laughter.  It's something that takes a little practice but under the masterful hand of Eva, the result will be delicious.

Eva's class is getting quite popular so call to let her know you are coming.

Pack for a Purpose

A global non-profit organization called "Pack for a Purpose" encourages travelers visiting abroad to bring much needed supplies to specific organizations located in their vacation destinations.

San Pancho Rentals and Casa Obelisco have joined efforts with packforapurpose.org and our chosen organization for San Pancho is Entreamigos. We ask all of our in-coming visitors if they can spare just a few pounds of space in their suitcases and bring the much needed school and personal supplies. These donated items (games, art supplies, back packs, clothes, school supplies) are for the specific needs of the Entreamigos facility, community and children and will be used to augment the center's constantly depleting resources.

At this time, San Pancho Rentals, Casa Obelisco and Entreamigos wish to express our sincere gratitude to the recent San Pancho visitors listed below for their more than generous contributions. In December 2015, over 85 kilos of supplies have been donated!!

We hope you enjoyed your stay in our beutiful town and hope that you will return soon!

Muchos Gracias!  Feliz Año Nuevo

Architectural design is the center of Raul Velasquez's practice. Raul has a contemporary style, without denying its Mexican roots and never forgetting it is created to suit a certain place and  culture.
This year Raul Has accomplished a major remodel of Casa OKloma in North of San Pancho using the existing structure and taking the best advantage of the views, breezes and volumes to create a unique residence to be enjoyed for years to come.

Since 2004, Raul and his work team have been building custom homes for people from Mexico, the U.S. and other parts of the world, allowing them their wishes to create a dream home by the sea, but always being respectful of the delicate balance between environment and nature.
The methods to achieve these goals are to use local materials instead of bringing them from far away places. This way, the use of local products are increased and will not pollute the enviornment with unnecessary transportations. Also Raul utilizes carefully selected craftsmen who have inherited, over many generations, their incredible masonry techniques. All this with intelligent design and a close eye to detail, which result in a most expressive springboard for architecture.
Raul also utilizes Green techniques, taking advantage of local materials and other advanced technologies, so water, sea breezes, gravity and the sun can be allies for a functional and comfortable lifestyle. Most of all, Raul's designs aim to conserve our beautiful enviornment and most unique nature.
