Hola todos:

Here are some events and happenings from around the town of San Pancho...

The paint by numbers event at the soccer field was a huge success, and the feedback has been as positive as it could be.  The murals are a great addition to San Pancho's collection of public art.

Craig and Candice want to thank all of the many people who came out to help paint and to contribute in so many other ways.  If you want a more in depth report of the event and LOTS of photos, please go to Candice's blog.

Here are a couple of photos for right now:

And after:

Pretty cool.

From the Collectivo via Doug Fir:

Colectivo San Pancho Presents 8th SINERGIARTE Beginning this Weekend

Colectivo San Pancho is a group of national and international artists. Since its founding in 2006, CSP has worked to promote and facilitate artistic and cultural creations for the benefit of the community and its visitors.

Colectivo San Pancho's first initiative was the SINERGIARTE, a cultural event born in 2006 when artists from the village gathered to share their work, as well as to promote and spread art, cultural and artistic traditions.

Each festival has had a particular focus. This year the topic we are reflecting on is: "Traces: What do we leave behind when we go?" With this theme we're intending that artists as well as the public in general give attention to the way in which we transition in both time and space, and to the form in which we live and its consequences, as much in our future as for those that come after us.

This year festival activities begin on Saturday, 21 December at 7:00 p.m. with the inauguration of a collective show in Bodega 3. This will be an exposition of painting, sculpture, photography and other physical art. From the 21st, each day of the week (except 24 and 25), there will be performances, projected features, music and many different kinds of cultural activities in diverse venues around town (see schedule). Later in the week, on Saturday and Sunday (29 and 30 December) residents and visitors to the village will be able to enjoy an intense two-day schedule of music, circus, jugglers, dance, performance of various kinds, workshops, culinary offerings and many surprises.
