Farmers' Market Vendor Wish List
The Ringwood Farmers' Market is preparing for our 7th Season! The Board of Eat Local has put together this "Vendor Wish List" for our upcoming season which list includes those vendors that will be welcomed to apply as a summer-season vendor.
Acceptance to the market will be decided after a site visit and a personal discussion with board members. A market vendor who intends to sell prepared foods must be preparing the food in a licensed commercial kitchen. Any interested vendor should send a letter of introduction with a product list to Nina Bertsch at redbarnnina@hotmail.com. We're seeing signs of spring at the market! Here's what you can expect on Saturday.
Snoep Winkel Farm ~ will have Hams for Easter. They average 3.5 - 4.5 pounds, with an occasional larger ham. They are not spiral cut but are smoky, sweet good eats! Please e-mail if you would like us to set one aside for you @ snoepwinkelgirl@aol.com.
Edgwick Farm ~ is bringing fresh Canterbury chevre, fresh whole goat milk ricotta, Marinated Canterbury, Moodna feta and all three boomy rind mini-wheels: Idewild, Firthcliffe and Aleck Meadow. Yum! Janet's Baked Goods ~ Will have our "Irish Soda Bread", Almond, Almond Apple and Butter Croissants! Shamrock Butter Cookies! See you at the market this Saturday! Happy Saint Patrick's Day to my "Green Friends." The Empanada Lady ~ frozen packaged Empanadas filled with Beef and Potato, Chicken and Potato, BBQ Pulled Pork, Spinach and Feta Cheese or Guava Cream Cheese.*Hot, ready to eat Empanadas will be available as well.* She's also made homemade Salsa Picante/Marinade and Sofrito base, Spanish Stir-Fry for sauces and cooking.
Wiltbank Farm ~ mushrooms in many varieties, and have you tried the mushroom hummus and pesto?!
Red Barn Farm ~ Did you miss the breakfast burritos last month? Start your day off with a delicious veggie and egg wrap or a wrap filled with eggs, bacon, mushrooms, and pepper jack cheese. And don't forget eggs and honey!
B&B Jams ~ homemade jams and jellies.
Orchards of Concklin are coming with apples, apple cider, pies, quiche and donuts. Fontanarosa's ~ don't forget the ravioli! Joi of Pickels is coming with fresh pickles in a variety of flavors along with olives, pickled tomatoes and giardiniera salad.
Pie Eyed Pizza will have frozen pizzas, sauces, savory breads and soup!
Bialas Farms is finished for the season, settling in for a short winter nap before prepping for the next growing season. We can't wait to see them in the spring!
