Farmers' Market Vendor Wish List

The Ringwood Farmers' Market is preparing for our 7th Season! The Board of Eat Local has put together this "Vendor Wish List" for our upcoming season which list includes those vendors that will be welcomed to apply as a summer-season vendor.

Acceptance to the market will be decided after a site visit and a personal discussion with board members. A market vendor who intends to sell prepared foods must be preparing the food in a licensed commercial kitchen. Any interested vendor should send a letter of introduction with a product list to Nina Bertsch at redbarnnina@hotmail.com.

Greetings!

Exciting news for this month's market! Cynthia from Conturso's market is stepping out on her own venture and is making empanadas! We welcome "The Empanada Lady" at this Saturday's market. She's coming with frozen packaged Empanadas filled with Beef and Potato, Chicken and Potato, BBQ Pulled Pork, Spinach and Feta Cheese or Guava Cream Cheese.*Hot, ready to eat Empanadas will be available as well.* She's also made homemade Salsa Picante/Marinade and Sofrito base, Spanish Stir-Fry for sauces and cooking. Be sure to stop by for a taste!

We also want to introduce to you Gary, from Wiltbank Farm. Gary grows mushrooms in many varieties and is bringing them to market this week!

The forecast for market hours this Saturday is calling for some snow. We hope that it won't affect the market, but to be safe, please check the website for any last minute cancellations. We'll also send out a blast. Here's hoping it will miss us!

Here's what you can expect on Saturday.

Red Barn Farm ~ Did you miss the breakfast burritos last  month? Start your day off with a delicious veggie and egg wrap or a wrap filled with eggs, bacon, mushrooms, and pepper jack cheese. And don't forget eggs and honey!

 
Orchards of Concklin
are coming with apples, apple cider, pies, quiche and donuts. 

 

Edgwick Farm ~ With the crazy birthing season behind them and the cheesemaking season begun, Edgwick Farm will be bringing fresh Canterbury chevre, fresh whole goat's milk ricotta, new winter Moodna feta and Marinated Canterbury plus maybe a few chocolate chevre truffles.

 

Janet's Baked Goods ~ Happy Belated Valentine's Day to Everyone! Get a sneak peak of our "Irish Soda Bread", and our "New Egg Bread." We'll also have Almond Croissants, Apple Croissants and Heart Shaped Vanilla & Chocolate Cookies.

Snoep Winkel Farm ~  Grass-fed beef, pork & poultry in a variety of cuts along with farm-fresh eggs.

Joi of Pickels is coming with fresh pickles in a variety of flavors along with olives, pickled tomatoes and giardiniera salad.

Pie Eyed Pizza will have frozen pizzas, sauces, savory breads and soup!

Bialas Farms is finished for the season, settling in for a short winter nap before prepping for the next growing season. We can't wait to see them in the spring!
