Here's what you can expect on Saturday.
Red Barn Farm ~ We are excited to announce that we will now be making breakfast wraps at the market! Why not start your day off with a delicious veggie and egg wrap? Or a wrap filled with eggs, bacon, mushrooms, and pepper jack cheese? Also don't forget to stock up on eggs and honey! Snoep Winkel Farm ~ with the cold weather predicted for next week, it is the perfect time to turn on your oven, warm up your kitchen, and your tummy, with a succulent chicken roaster. Leftover chicken? It's perfect for chicken salad or my wintertime favorite- chicken potpie! Save that carcass and add some of our chicken necks, backs or feet to make delicious chicken soup. Make a big pot and freeze some - perfect for when someone is under the weather with the flu. Maybe you feel like cooking up a kettle of pea soup or bean soup. Though we are out of hocks right now - pigs are leaving for the butcher Saturday night - we do have ham ends. These are the pieces leftover from when the butcher slices our hams into those ham steaks we sell. They have that wonderful, smoky hammy goodness that adds such flavor to your soups. If you want to pre-order, please get your orders to me by Thursday so I can get it all organized @ snoepwinkelgirl@aol.com.
