First Day of Spring - The Vernal Equinox
Spring

March 20th marks the vernal equinox, more commonly known as the first day of spring. This season brings increasing daylight, warming temperatures and the rebirth of flora and fauna.

The word equinox is derived from the Latin words meaning "equal night".  Because the sun is positioned above the equator, days and nights are approximately equal everywhere.

Spring is the time when worms begin to emerge from the earth, ladybugs land on screen doors, green buds appear, the birds are chirping and the flowers begin to bloom.  The vernal equinox signals the beginning of nature's renewal.

Why not kick-off the beginning of spring with a new landscape?  If you're looking for a fresh new look, a hardscape project or just a spring clean up, now is the time to put things in motion.  Call today to meet with a member of our design team to get started.

Don't forget, we offer flexible financing options that let you to increase your buying power.  Ask for details!

A Month of Celebrations

March is a month to celebrate! There's a lot on the calendar this month that includes something for everyone.

Daylight savings time begins on March 10th.   Sure we lose an hour, but who doesn't like the fact that it's still daylight when we get off work?  A sure sign that spring is almost here.

Then we have St. Patrick's Day on March 17th. Everyone will search their closet for something green to wear and maybe indulge in some corned beef and cabbage. We all like a reason to celebrate, so even those that aren't Irish get in the spirit, just because it's the thing to do and, let's face it, it's fun.

Next, we have the first day of spring, which arrives March 20th. For some this is a milestone because, after all, it's official; winter is over.  Summer can't be too far away!

Of course towards the end of the month we'll be celebrating religious holidays such as Passover and Easter. Families will gather and celebrate as their faith and tradition dictates.

So whether you're looking forward to some green beer on St. Patrick's Day, spending time with family on the religious holidays or just waiting for the Easter Bunny to bring you some candy, you''ll find plenty of reasons to celebrate in March!
