Message from the General Manager

2015 brought us the Lynnwood Convention Center's 10 year anniversary!  It has been a great honor to be a part of Lynnwood and Snohomish County.  This year is proving to be another successful year and we thank the City of Lynnwood and surrounding communities for their support, as well as our many clients and guests over the past decade.  Our 10 year celebrations gave us an opportunity to thank you in person and we appreciate your attendance to our Open House on September 22nd.  Visit our website to view photos of our celebrations.

If you wish to get to know the Convention Center a little better and take a behind the scenes look, please contact us for a Third Monday Tour.  On the third Monday of each month we offer a guided tour both front and back-of-house for individuals and groups.  You can inquire by contacting us at [email protected] or 425-778-7155.

Event Planning Tips:
Making the Most of your Auction

Looking to maximize the money raised at your next fundraiser? The "Fund-A-Need" program is a vital part of any benefit auction. It is often times the largest source of revenue for the event. With your silent or live auction your supporters will receive something tangible in exchange for their donation. But with the special pledge appeal, you are simply asking them to donate even more money to help you accomplish your goals.
Here are some ideas to get you started:
  • Decide on the need that you will fund: A specific program, a piece of medical equipment, a new building, etc.
  • Contact key donors before the event to determine their level of commitment and find those willing to contribute matching funds.
  • Decide when in your event would be the best time to incorporate the "Fund-A-Need" program.Earlier in the event is best so your audience doesn't spend all their money on other things.
  • Select a speaker for the program who is directly involved with the cause. Someone who is passionate and knowledgeable about the cause will bring in the most money.
