Meet Ella*
Baby Ella was born into a single parent household. One day her mother dropped Ella off at her grandmother's house on her way to work. Her mother never returned. Ella's grandmother didn't have the financial ability to care for her so she called the local Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS). Due to abandonment, Ella became a faultless victim of the foster care system at the early age of one month old.
Ella is a wonderful baby. She is a good eater and a great sleeper. She is developing very well while in care. Her precious little smile is contagious and she is bringing such joy to her foster parents and everyone she meets.
Her foster parents are overjoyed to have her. Now, Ella is assured she will always be wanted and loved because of Christian families, like her foster parents, who were willing to open their hearts and home.
*Name and details changed to protect child's privacy. Please note, the child pictured is not a foster child, but represents one of the more than 400,000 children on any given day that are in foster care.

Share your love by sponsoring a foster child
Not everyone is called to foster. But everyone can give the gift of Christian family to a child in need -- a child like Ella.
You can make an eternal difference for $1 a day or $30 a month.

We pray that you will step up to help support our communities' foster children or even deepen your engagement with us as we faithfully pursue a goal of raising up 500 monthly sponsors to give the gift of family by the end of 2013.
Be a blessing. Share your blessings. Please consider how God has called you to give this new year.
