Meet Wendy*
 
Wendy's parents are battling addictions to various Wendynarcotics. Her family was living all together until they lost their home as a result of the parents' substance abuse. From there the family moved from place to place unable to supply adequate housing. Wendy and her two older siblings also suffered from medical neglect.
 
Ten year old Wendy is a true social butterfly. She is very funny and smart. She is doing well at school and she loves to play soccer. She is very nurturing toward her siblings. She loves to help her foster parents take care of them. Wendy is also a born leader. She speaks her mind and stands up for what she believes in. Despite the struggles she has endured Wendy remains optimistic and continues to persevere.
 
Wendy prays for her parents every night and that she will get to go home soon.

Each year, more than 600,000 children spend time in foster care. If there are more than 100 Million Christians in America, then we just need 1 out of every 100 to say yes to our communities' foster children. That's right, 1 out of 100. We need 1 Million caring Christians to step up and live out the Great Commission right here in our own neighborhoods.
