Gratitude from the Bottom of the Heart
|
The Ronald McDonald House is very important to me, as it has allowed me to stay in Columbus with my daughter, Analise, who was born at 26 weeks old, and her lungs were extremely underdeveloped. I had heard of the Columbus Ronald McDonald House, but I never imagined I would be in a situation where I needed to accept any and all help that is available to me. I honestly do not have the words to express how grateful I am to be able to stay at the Columbus Ronald McDonald House, and how thankful I am for everything people do to help all families currently staying here. The various groups of people who cook here everyday are amazing people. The volunteers are so compassionate and helpful. All of the companies and community supporters that donate their time and money to keep the Columbus Ronald McDonald House running are incredible, and I am forever indebted to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio for helping me during this extremely stressful and difficult time in my life.

I am so very thankful to be able to stay somewhere so comfortable that is so close to the hospital. It helps me know there are people for me to talk to that are more than willing to help me with anything. I would never be able to afford a hotel for 10-14 weeks while my daughter gets strong enough to go home. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for keeping this House running and providing a service that helps so many families stay with their children during one of the most difficult times in their lives. Having a safe place to stay that is essentially a home away from home makes things so much easier. I appreciate everyone and everything here, and I hope I can find a way to repay the Columbus Ronald McDonald House for helping my family and me more than words can express.
