Get a Clue - Raleigh Typhoon Scavenger Hunt, July 30th
If you haven't seen National Treasure, stop reading. We kid.... though it would help you understand what The 10th Annual Raleigh Typhoon Scavenger Hunt is all about.
On Saturday, July 30th from 1:00pm to 10:00pm, The Raleigh Typhoon Scavenger Hunt will take place and serves as one of the largest scavenger hunts in downtown Raleigh. During the past nine years, over 2500 people have participated as individuals and teams to scout out items, answer challenging trivia, and perform tons of fun tasks while traveling between a myriad of Downtown Raleigh bars, restaurants, shops, and landmarks in the hopes of capturing prizes.
From lip syncing to ladder golf, word searches to acrobatics, rickshaws to rhymes; the Raleigh Typhoon is designed to be challenging, entertaining, educational, and most of all... fun! You don't want to miss out on this while you discover a little more about downtown Raleigh's treasures.
Rain or shine, so be prepared! Costumes are highly encouraged! While the Raleigh Typhoon isn't a race, individuals and teams are required to complete all of the tasks by a certain time in order to win. Prizes will be given out at the conclusion of the scavenger hunt.
Each team must consist of at least two players and may have a maximum of eight participating. Participants must be 21 and over. Registration is opened now. Click here to register. Helpful Tips: - Check-in is from 11am - 1:30pm, BUT the game officially starts at 1:00pm, so the earlier the better!
- Don't forget to bring SCOTCH TAPE! You'll be sorry if you don't. There are places you can get some downtown, but you may prefer to save yourself the hassle and bring it with you.
- Might be smart to bring a phone charger, especially if your phone eats up energy for breakfast.
All proceeds from the Raleigh Typhoon 2016 will benefit Activate Good, a nonprofit volunteer center that activates volunteers to help charitable causes in our local community. Good Activate will connect individuals, groups, and companies to volunteering needs with over 340 partnering nonprofits around the Triangle. To learn more and get involved, Click Here. The Beltline Buzz items are selected by our editors. No one can pay to be featured on
The Beltline Buzz.. That's what advertising is for, and it's always labeled as such. Selling ourselves (literally) would destroy the legitimacy, integrity, and fun of
The Beltline Buzz. Plus, we'd never earn your trust that way. So we'll never make a dime off your meal at a restaurant nor a penny from the sale of the latest accessory we told you about.
That said, on occasion, we will send out "Dedicated" e-mails on behalf of sponsors. You'll recognize them from the subject line: "The Beltline Buzz Dedicated E-mail." Yes, these are paid for. And, no, we would never sell our subscriber list to anyone. Not for any amount of money.
We hope that you continue to enjoy your Beltline Buzz. We look forward to delivering it.
