From Dirt to Shirt - Mindful Supply Co.
From Greensboro, NC

Go through your T-shirt drawers and think about the stories they tell. Your collection of T-shirts show-off pride for teams, schools, states and places visited. Face it, you're a human billboard promoting products, places and things you love, with humor and creativity!

Now look at the tags from where your tees are made. There's no place like home! Right?

That's why we'd like to introduce you to Mindful Supply Co.; started in 2012 out of Greensboro, NC by Derek Glass, David Grubbs and Eric Henry who have been in the apparel industry for over 35 years combined. They've witnessed firsthand the shift of production going to overseas factories. They've seen things come and go. Trends, fads, and worse, American jobs.

While on the journey in creating Mindful Supply Co., a belief started to brew. A belief that America could make quality apparel products again with pride and at a good price.

Mindful Supply Co. was born with three things in mind.

1) Where the clothing comes from?
Right here in the USA. Mindful Supply is one of the few brands that actually controls the entire supply chain, from concept to production with pride that it is all made in this fine country of ours.

2) How it's made?

A major benefit of their product is using water base non-toxic inks and dyes, premium quality soft cotton from Cotton of the Carolinas. All of the processes have the lowest carbon footprint for printing in the industry.

3) Who's making it?

Mindful Supply believes in letting consumers see the entire process that goes into making their products. From the farmer that grows the cotton to the folks that ship it to you. Offering a unique 100% trackable method of knowing your product is made and produced entirely in the USA with the highest standards. Mindful Supply has built a successful eco-friendly supply chain where they grow the cotton, gin it, knit it, dye it, design and print it all here at home. And consumers have the unique ability to track the chain from start to finish, seeing the care and passion that went into making every piece.

Mindful Supply Co. t-shirts, hoodies and totes are super soft, made in NC from 100% locally grown cotton and uniquely trackable to show the journey from dirt to shirt. Mindful Supply tees comes preshrunk for best fit along with printed neck label and recycled paper, soy printed hangtag for the lowest environmental footprint available in the market. Other brands may talk the talk, but Mindful Supply walks the walk.

Today, t-shirts are created for methods of personal expression. Be Mindful and purchase your tees showing your North Carolina pride!

Sweet Greek Surprises - Taverna Agora Downtown Raleigh

Dining at Taverna Agora's new location on Hillsborough Street is reminiscent of gathering places found in Greece, with old world flavors and rustic roots. However, Taverna Agora expands beyond the traditional agora with a few modern flares, including hand-crafted cocktails, a gourmet marketplace, a beautiful open-air rooftop patio, serving daily lunch & dinner and Sunday brunch.

After you've enjoyed a wonderfully prepared meal don't forget to save room for a homemade dessert that you've just gotta try! Opa! (Dessert Menu)

Baklava Beckons: Taverna Agora's Baklava pastry is made the traditional Greek way with layers of phyllo pastry, walnuts, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Not to be confused with their Baklava Cheesecake, a NY style cheesecake with baklava  filling. And if you're dining on Sunday's the Baklava Pancakes are buttermilk pancakes covered with walnuts and topped with Baklava syrup. Getting hungry?

Syrupy Greek desserts are very popular among Greek cuisine and with good reason. Taverna Agora's syrupy Galaktobouriko,  is a Greek custard with layers of phyllo pastry with vanilla custard topped with orange lemon syrup. And of course the famous traditional Greek Baklava, with the moist, scented syrups makes each one just irresistible!

So head on over to Taverna Agora Kitchen & Bar where you and your friends & family will enjoy authentic, wonderfully prepared, simple Greek food, with good wine. But save room for a mouth-watering treat... that will tempt the sweet tooth of anyone. Opa!

The Beltline Buzz items are selected by our editors.  No one can pay to be featured on
The Beltline Buzz..  That's what advertising is for, and it's always labeled as such.  Selling ourselves (literally) would destroy the legitimacy, integrity, and fun of
The Beltline Buzz.  Plus, we'd never earn your trust that way.  So we'll never make a dime off your meal at a restaurant nor a penny from the sale of the latest accessory we told you about.

That said, on occasion, we will send out "Dedicated" e-mails on behalf of sponsors.  You'll recognize them from the subject line: "The Beltline Buzz Dedicated E-mail."  Yes, these are paid for.  And, no, we would never sell our subscriber list to anyone.  Not for any amount of money.

We hope that you continue to enjoy your Beltline Buzz.  We look forward to delivering it.
