The Latest Buzz On ... Fashion, Food & Fun
We Give Thee Thanks for Boulted Bread
Boulted Bread on 614 W. South Street has come a long way since their grand opening just three months ago. They are excited to announce their Thanksgiving offerings: Apple Pie, Grits Bread, and Brioche Rolls. Its time to place an order and give thanks for Boulted Bread! The Apple Pie is definitive of the season. And Boulted Bread's pies are made with cultured organic butter, stone ground spelt, stone ground in-house NC soft wheat, NC apples, maple syrup from Butternut Mountain Farm in Vermont, and organic cane sugar. This pie is a humble rendition of the American classic. Boutled Bread's Grits Bread is a combination of a popular southern colonial era Thirded Bread and a more common corn bread. Thirded Bread made use of the popular and available southern grains of corn and rye while being more conservative with the more luxurious, expensive, and harder to grow wheat. Grits Bread is made up of stone ground heirloom grits, stone ground cornmeal, and some heirloom Red Turkey wheat flour. The grains are soaked in organic cream and Maple View Farms buttermilk, and the bread is naturally leavened. The result is a pan loaf that is rich, tender, and sliceable. Grits Bread is reminiscent of corn bread, grit cakes, and a hearty whole grain bread with excellent keeping qualities. It is an amazing bread probably unlike most you've had before. They're offering samples at the shop on Thursday, Nov. 20th, a week before Thanksgiving and in time to place your order. The Brioche Rolls come in packs of half dozen or full dozen. The bakers had the pleasure of tweaking their classic brioche recipes over the last month, and arrived with a roll that is both soft, light, and tender while having a great depth of flavor from natural leavening and cultured butter. It has been designed specifically to be a part of your holiday plate. If you'd like any of Boulted Bread's wonderful daily baked breads, pies or pastries, click here to pre-order and reserve yours now. Boulted Bread will be taking orders until Sunday, November 23rd. Pick up your Thanksgiving orders are on Wednesday, November 26 from 12:30-6:30 PM. This will guarantee your breads and pies to be fresh and delicious. On a regular baking day - The bread makers begin baking at 5am to bake pastries, which are available when the shop opens at 7. Breads that keep well like leavens, are also cooked in the morning. By noon you'll find the more delicate breads like crusty baguettes and fluffy ciabatta, ready to slice for lunch or take home for dinner. Long lasting rye sits neatly packaged on a tall rack, awaiting pick up orders. We give thee thanks for Boulted Bread! Website

The Beltline Buzz items are selected by our editors. No one can pay to be featured on
The Beltline Buzz.. That's what advertising is for, and it's always labeled as such. Selling ourselves (literally) would destroy the legitimacy, integrity, and fun of
The Beltline Buzz. Plus, we'd never earn your trust that way. So we'll never make a dime off your meal at a restaurant nor a penny from the sale of the latest accessory we told you about.
That said, on occasion, we will send out "Dedicated" e-mails on behalf of sponsors. You'll recognize them from the subject line: "The Beltline Buzz Dedicated E-mail." Yes, these are paid for. And, no, we would never sell our subscriber list to anyone. Not for any amount of money.
We hope that you continue to enjoy your Beltline Buzz. We look forward to delivering it.
