Scare Tactics - Fifty Acres of Fright & Six Attractions @
The Haunted Forest at Panic Point

Scare yourself straight with fright night options at the The Haunted Forest at Panic Point in Youngsville, NC. (Just north of Wake Forest) These one-of-a-kind attractions are in its fourth year and keeps getting better and better.

You'll jump out of your shoes on the Haunted Trail with 10 scenes and haunters everywhere. But there's so much more. Test your courage in the Dark Walk. Jump on the Howling Hayride. Get lost in the Menacing Maze. Face your fears in the Carny Crypt. Win a t-shirt at the Zombie Shootout or Creepy Carnival Games. See you at the Haunted Forest at Panic Point.... if you dare!

How Scary is it? Keep in mind their scariest would have a "PG-13" rating. The Haunted attractions are a family friendly haunted house. Younger patrons can enjoy the Maze and Zombie Shootout, haunter-free. Brave young souls can try lower scare attractions as a warm-up for the Haunted Trail. We've rated the scare factor on each attraction to help you out.

"Haunted Forest" Scare Rating: 4 Skulls
Bring on the Voodoo Witches, Hillbilly Cannibals, Serial Killers, & Zombies...and that's just the start!  When you step into the Haunted Forest you'll run for the hills, mess your pants & call for Mama. This half-mile trail offers 10 freaky scenes, and dozens of haunters.

"Dark Walk" Scare Rating: 3 Skulls
Fan Favorite!  Lengthened in 2014!  Your own personal horror movie scene in the woods.  Just a trail. No lights. It's you, a rope, & pure darkness. You only imagined the spectre in the shadows, right? Wild animals are way less scared of you than you are of them.

"Howling Hayride" Scare Rating: 3 Skulls
Load up and hold on! Enjoy a crisp Carolina evening accompanied by blood-curdling screams, laughter, & the sweet smell of roasting marshmallows & smoked flesh. The 2014 version of this nightmare is bigger, longer, and spookier. Be (very) afraid.

"Carny Crypt" Scare Rating: 3 Skulls
For years, this trashed trailer was a flop house for some of the lowest level Carnival Workers this side of the Mississippi. It was dirty, decrepit, infested, and haunted. So we bought it, as-is, and converted it into a morbid museum of Carny glory.

"Menacing Maze" Scare Rating: 1 Skull
Corn maze? Not quite. The ghoulish grass is a twisted hybrid strain imported from Transylvania; meticulously cultivated in graveyard soil & enriched with zombie fodder. These ominous stalks grow thick, so all you can see are the maze walls as they close in.

"Zombie Shootout" Scare Rating: 1 Skull
In a post-apocalyptic world someone has to control the un-dead population. Why not you? Grab a wireless M4 Laser Tag Gun and shoot rounds at the glowing zombies as they forage for food (like you). Can you turn back the horde? 5 players per game. High Score wins a Panic Point T-Shirt!

SCARE GUIDE - The Haunted Forest, Carny Crypt, and Dark Walk are designed to scare, and are probably not appropriate for most people under the age of 12.

The Beltline Buzz items are selected by our editors.  No one can pay to be featured on
The Beltline Buzz..  That's what advertising is for, and it's always labeled as such.  Selling ourselves (literally) would destroy the legitimacy, integrity, and fun of
The Beltline Buzz.  Plus, we'd never earn your trust that way.  So we'll never make a dime off your meal at a restaurant nor a penny from the sale of the latest accessory we told you about.

That said, on occasion, we will send out "Dedicated" e-mails on behalf of sponsors.  You'll recognize them from the subject line: "The Beltline Buzz Dedicated E-mail."  Yes, these are paid for.  And, no, we would never sell our subscriber list to anyone.  Not for any amount of money.

We hope that you continue to enjoy your Beltline Buzz.  We look forward to delivering it.
