All Of Me - John Legend Tour Comes to Red Hat Amphitheater, July 30

Happy Hump Day: It's July 30 and guess what day it is? It's hump day, whoop whoop! And it's not your typical middle finger of the week. This one's special as nine-time Grammy Award winning, multi-platinum selling R&B artist John Legend is bringing his highly acclaimed 2014 North American tour to Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh. Showtime is 7:30pm. The All Of Me Tour comes on the heels of Legend's #1 smash single "All of Me," from his critically acclaimed fourth studio album "LOVE IN THE FUTURE ", which recently reached the #1 spot on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles Chart. The single marks Legend's highest selling and charting single of his career to date, with sales over 3 million in the US.

Child Prodigy: John Legend, singer, songwriter, and pianist, was a child prodigy who grew up in Ohio where he began singing gospel and playing piano at the age of five. By age 16 he was playing piano on Lauryn Hill's hit "Everything is Everything ". Legend soon became an in-demand session musician, playing and occasionally writing for a wide array of artists, including Alecia Keys, Twista, Janet Jackson, and Kanye West. West signed him to his G.O.O.D. Music Label and by 2004 his chart topping career had started. In addition to his solo career, Legend has appeared on dozens of recordings by fellow artists.

The Sound of Music - North Raleigh School of Music

We've grown to love families that sing together. Right here in North Raleigh we've got our own von Trapp family musicians.

North Raleigh School of Music was founded in 2012 by a family of local music teachers: Anne Moorman-Smith, a former Aldert Root Elementary music teacher, Erin Moorman Wenger, a former AB Combs Elementary music teacher and current voice teacher at Saint Marys School, and Jake Wenger, the cello teacher at Ravenscroft School. Their mission is to provide affordable, quality music instruction to people of all ages, and to enrich people's lives through music.

In addition to their Kindermusik program, they offer private music lessons in guitar, voice, piano, violin, cello, and percussion. Starting in the Fall of 2014, they will also be offering lessons in flute, clarinet, saxophone, and viola.

The Kindermusik is a fun, exciting music class designed for newborns to 7 year olds.

Through high energy movement, singing, playing and listening, Kindermusik improves a child's creativity, emotional and social skills, reading ability, physical, and cognitive skills. And not to mention, the development of a lifelong love of music! Come join in the fun!

Get started for your kids or yourself... It's as easy as Do-Re-Mi!

The Beltline Buzz items are selected by our editors.  No one can pay to be featured on
The Beltline Buzz..  That's what advertising is for, and it's always labeled as such.  Selling ourselves (literally) would destroy the legitimacy, integrity, and fun of
The Beltline Buzz.  Plus, we'd never earn your trust that way.  So we'll never make a dime off your meal at a restaurant nor a penny from the sale of the latest accessory we told you about.

That said, on occasion, we will send out "Dedicated" e-mails on behalf of sponsors.  You'll recognize them from the subject line: "The Beltline Buzz Dedicated E-mail."  Yes, these are paid for.  And, no, we would never sell our subscriber list to anyone.  Not for any amount of money.

We hope that you continue to enjoy your Beltline Buzz.  We look forward to delivering it.
