A Spring Tweet - 13th Annual Birdhouses on Parade at The Carolina Inn
Looking for signs of spring? Then bird is the word! The Carolina Inn is attracting flocks of people that will feast their eyes on close to 100 one-of-a-kind birdhouses and feeders crafted by dozens of North Carolina artists. The 13th Annual Birdhouse of Parade is from Tuesday, April 1st through Monday, April 21st. Drop by anytime to see these wonderful creations.
Luxury real estate - With NC artists creating beautiful houses fit for a 'bird'... it's a wonder they're flying south in droves relocating to the Triangle! These houses are not just for the birds... they're for you to see as well. And here's who's building them.
Marina Bosetti studied sculpture at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York and received a B achelor of Fine Arts in 1982. She resides in Raleigh running a custom ceramic tile business, Bosetti Art Tile, and making birdhouses. Visit her website or call 919.414.8950 for more information.
Right Photo: Striped Pagoda - Elegant light and dark green stripes give this large, round bluebird house a simple charm, but the textured, metallic black pagoda roof adds enough whimsy to give it some edge. Tough enough to withstand the elements, but designed to make hanging and cleaning easy.
Robert S. Shuping a North Carolina native has been working with wood for over 30 years. In his shop, he builds one-of-a-kind furniture pieces and creative wood turnings including birdhouses, bowls, boxes and other unique items. All items produced are available to view or purchase here on his website.
In addition to wooden crafts, Robert builds custom homes and renovations in the Chapel Hill and Durham area. He's a "hands on" licensed general contractor, providing custom trim details, built in cabinets, creative decks and other special features.
Artist Beth Greene's "Dwellings" range from the Piedmont to the Coast of North Carolina. The wood and shells used on her creations have been found and collected along North Carolina's Crystal Coast. Beth has been recognized with various awards including her birdhouse creation "Tar River in the Fall" which just won the News & Observer Birdhouse Competition in the Adult Best of Theme category. Website.
They're so flocking cute! With more artists such as Mark Burnham, Hebo's Folkart Shop, Allen Hobbs, Wolfgang Langheinrich, Nest Dwellings, Old South Birdhouse Company, RSS Woodworks, Skidworks NC, Silver Palate Feeders and Wyldeheart Design, you won't want to miss this Parade of Homes for the birds!
So bring your chickadees and head to The Carolina Inn April 1-21. Website.

The Beltline Buzz items are selected by our editors. No one can pay to be featured on
The Beltline Buzz.. That's what advertising is for, and it's always labeled as such. Selling ourselves (literally) would destroy the legitimacy, integrity, and fun of
The Beltline Buzz. Plus, we'd never earn your trust that way. So we'll never make a dime off your meal at a restaurant nor a penny from the sale of the latest accessory we told you about.
That said, on occasion, we will send out "Dedicated" e-mails on behalf of sponsors. You'll recognize them from the subject line: "The Beltline Buzz Dedicated E-mail." Yes, these are paid for. And, no, we would never sell our subscriber list to anyone. Not for any amount of money.
We hope that you continue to enjoy your Beltline Buzz. We look forward to delivering it.
