Get Pumped - Best Pumpkin treats in the Triangle

Fall means lots of comforting foods containing seasonal ingredients like sweet potatoes and pumpkin. While pumpkin pie is a staple of lots of holiday feasts, we wanted to share other ways to get your pumpkin-fix. Here are our five favorite pumpkin treats in the Triangle this season.

They specialize in high quality cupcakes that are perfectly balanced with cake and frosting. You can order your cupcakes by phone or online and they deliver to you for free! Only the freshest ingredients are used to bake JP's Cupcakes. Unbleached flour is always sifted by hand, and pure butter and high quality chocolates are always utilized. There are no boxed mixes in JP's kitchen and he refuses to ever sell a box mix cupcake, which are full of preservatives. Pumpkin cheesecake square from Annalore's German Bakery at the NC State Farmers Market - pumpkin cheesecake squares This dessert from the German bakery under the tent at the State Farmers Market is out of this world delicious for a subtle sweetness. A graham cracker crust is topped with whirled pumpkin puree and creamy cheese. The crowning glory is a mix of oats and crushed pecans. The combination is not too sweet or rich, allowing you to indulge with less guilt.

Annelore is the heart and soul of the bakery. She grew up in the restaurant and brewery family businesses and she has been working in the culinary industry now for close to 45 years. The Beltline Buzz items are selected by our editors.  No one can pay to be featured on The Beltline Buzz..  That's what advertising is for, and it's always labeled as such.  Selling ourselves (literally) would destroy the legitimacy, integrity, and fun of  The Beltline Buzz.  Plus, we'd never earn your trust that way.  So we'll never make a dime off your meal at a restaurant nor a penny from the sale of the latest accessory we told you about.

That said, on occasion, we will send out "Dedicated" e-mails on behalf of sponsors.  You'll recognize them from the subject line: "The Beltline Buzz Dedicated E-mail."  Yes, these are paid for.  And, no, we would never sell our subscriber list to anyone.  Not for any amount of money.

We hope that you continue to enjoy your Beltline Buzz.  We look forward to delivering it.
