A Basket Case - Easter Finds
Spring! A time to travel light. So why is it that every time the season rolls around, your load seems to get heavier? It's the paradox of warm weather: No big coat pockets for your stuff, so you end up carrying everything but the kitchen sink in your bag!
And what's better for that than designer, Barbara Rihl's handbags? Barbara Rihl's bags are made of lively colors and luxurious materials and reflect her enthusiasm for travel, fashion and over all a bright sense of humor.
Austrian born and the wife of Pierre Herme, the 'macaroon king', launched her flagship store in Paris in 2010. Her boutique is dedicated to fabulous creations of handbags and other accessories. Her collection is geared towards the chic traveler, th e jet setter, the city slicker and those who simply appreciate high quality yet affordable style.
CT Weekends in Cameron Village is the only place you'll find these witty, cheerful and fun bags. Carry a Barbara Rihl handbag and get organized with zippered compartments that make them sharp enough to take to the office and sturdy enough to hold all your essentials, folders, iPhones, flip-flops ... Just be sure to leave room for that emergency stash of protein bars and wine coolers. Have fun with them. And pray for sun, because it's about time you made it to the beach!

To Bee or Not To Bee
Spinning Wheels - NC Pottery Artists' Tour to Seagrove March 30
It's almost spring and you're spinning your wheels trying to come up with the perfect gifts for the peeps on your list. Why not let the Seagrove artists do the spinning for you? The Seagrove pottery heritage began long before the American Revolution. The fine quality of the local clay was used by local farmers to make everything from dinner plates to jugs and pickle jars. The tradition continues to this day in the Seagrove area, in some cases by potters who represent the eighth and ninth generations of potter families.
And now you can be a part of it by partaking in a Tabacco Road Tour to Seagrove. The first stop is the North Carolina Pottery Center for a tour and opportunity to see a demonstration. Then it is on to the home of Ben Owen, III, a gentleman who was the successor to generations of famous potters and whose art is displayed in public spaces from the Ritz Carlton Japan to The Umstead's five star hotel. The next stop is to Jugtown Pottery, first opened in 1917 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Jugtown's museum is filled with many examples of early area pots as well as the Jugtown story. The last stop is to world master potter Phil Morgan who creates his famous crystalline glazed pottery using an ancient and rare porcelain glazing technique. His pieces have been featured in national publications, presidential collections and museums around the world. Tickets
Seagrove Pottery Tour: Dates: Saturday, March 30th, 9:00am. Other dates: Saturday, April 27 & Saturday, May 25; Briggs Hardware Store Building, 220 Fayetteville Street, Raleigh

The Beltline Buzz items are selected by our editors. No one can pay to be featured on The Beltline Buzz.. That's what advertising is for, and it's always labeled as such. Selling ourselves (literally) would destroy the legitimacy, integrity, and fun of The Beltline Buzz. Plus, we'd never earn your trust that way. So we'll never make a dime off your meal at a restaurant nor a penny from the sale of the latest accessory we told you about.
That said, on occasion, we will send out "Dedicated" e-mails on behalf of sponsors. You'll recognize them from the subject line: "The Beltline Buzz Dedicated E-mail." Yes, these are paid for. And, no, we would never sell our subscriber list to anyone. Not for any amount of money. We hope that you continue to enjoy your Beltline Buzz. We look forward to delivering it.
