Honey Leveen, The Queen of Long-Term Care Insurance
Greetings, Dear Friends and Clients,

Family Caregivers The press has done a good job lately of describing what happens to people and their families when an unplanned need for long-term care (LTC) arises.

This Reuters article reports there are currently nearly 15 million unpaid family caregivers in the US. Roughly half of them give substantial assistance with medical needs. Compared with non-caregivers, these people are 79 percent more likely to experience emotional difficulty and more than twice as likely to experience financial and physical problems of their own. They are more than five times as likely to miss out on important activities in their own lives and more than three times as likely to suffer lost productivity at work.

This article and many more can be found on on my Facebook page or my blog. Make no mistake: buying LTC insurance was one of the wisest business decisions you've ever made!

New Book Out!

Surviving Alzheimers by Dayna Steele My good friend, client, speaker and author Dayna Steele has written a new book entitled "Surviving Alzheimer's With Friends, Facebook and a Really Big Glass of Wine".

The book is a tasteful, painfully graphic, honest chronicle of Dayna's journey with her mother's Alzheimer's Disease. It is often darkly humorous. Readers will be touched.

I am proud to say the book contains a chapter I wrote describing the need for long-term care planning.

I will mail a free copy of the book to the first 10 people to email me at  honey@honeyleveen.com or reply to this email.

2016 Cap Con Speaker

On February 22, 2016 I gave a panel presentation on LTC at NAHU's (National Association of Health Underwriters) Capitol Conference. NAHU is our nation's preeminent organization for health insurance and employee benefits professionals. I was proud to have been given the opportunity to engage colleagues in a discussion of the urgent need for LTC planning.
