"Get Protected" Social Security
Email Scam 


The Social Security Administration (SSA) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) are
alerting
the public about an email scam that may have in the subject line "Get Protected." This email appears to be from the SSA and discusses new features that claim to monitor unauthorized use of one's Social Security number. It even cites the IRS and the official-sounding "S.A.F.E. Act 2015." Yet it is entirely bogus.

The Statewide Independent Living Council of Kansas, Inc. will be hosting a public comment forum over the State Plan for Independent Living(SPIL) for FFY 2017 to FFY 2019 on March 30th from 10am to 12pm.
