Accessible Instructional Materials (AIM) Basics for Families

This free booklet is designed to help parents and other members of the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) team make decisions about the student's need for Accessible Instructional Materials (AIM)

Taking the "Us Versus Them" Out of Advocacy

When was the last time anger and positive change blame resulted in for your child? Strident outrage has nearly the opposite effect on many, natural instinct is to dig our heels in and defend our opinion. Our positions become further estranged.

Find the Perfect App

With over a thousand apps now available to help individuals with
special needs it has become increasingly difficult to find and choose the right special needs app.

The Friendship Circle App Review gives you the ability to find the perfect special needs app for your child.

Frequently Asked Question

"If my child is allergic to a food is the school responsible for providing alternative meals?"

If a child has been determined by a doctor to have a disability and the disability would prevent the child from eating the regular school meal, the school must make substitutions prescribed by the doctor. If a substitution is needed, there will be no extra charge for the meal. If you believe your child needs substitutions because of a disability, please contact your doctor and the school for further information.

All meals served must meet the U. S. Department of Agriculture meal requirements.
