The Mesa Verde Association is a joint membership program of the Mesa Verde Museum Association and the Mesa Verde Foundation. Your MVA membership supports both of these 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.

The Mesa Verde Museum Association (tax ID 84-1404606) provides educational and interpretive material to visitors of Mesa Verde National Park through an active publishing program and the operation of retail bookstores online, in the park, and in Cortez, CO. Our services enhance the visitor experience and promote stewardship of Mesa Verde's world-renowned archeological resources and natural landscapes. Proceeds from all Association operations are donated to the park's interpretive, research, and education programs.

The Mesa Verde Foundation (tax ID 84-046967) funds capital improvements, projects, and educational endeavors for Mesa Verde National Park. Our projects include construction of a new Visitor and Research Center near the park's entrance and remodeling the existing Far View Visitor Center into a Tribal Cultures Center to enhance understanding of the connection between the Ancestral Puebloans and contemporary Native American tribes.

Mesa Verde Celebrates Archeology and Historic Preservation Month!

May is Archeology and Historic Preservation Month! This year's theme is "Building Communities: Celebrating 20 Years of the State Historical Fund." Events and activities across the state will explore historical themes throughout Colorado that have been promoted through grants from the State Historical Fund (SHF). Learn more about activities in your area at http://www.historycolorado.org/archaeologists.

Mesa Verde National Park has been fortunate to have received $2.3 million in SHF grants to support documentation and stabilization of the park's archeological sites. On Saturday and Sunday, May 18 and 19, 2013, come to the MVNP Visitor and Research Center at the park entrance to see an exhibit illustrating ongoing archeological site conservation at the Spring House and the Square Tower House sites. Supported by the State Historical Fund, both projects reflect innovative design and research. MVNP Chief Archeologist Scott Travis will be on hand Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. to answer questions.

In conjunction with this special exhibit, on May 18 and 19 the Mesa Verde Museum Association will be offering a 10% discount on all regularly-priced merchandise at its stores in the Visitor and Research Center (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Chapin Mesa Archeological Museum (8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.), and Colorado Welcome Center in Cortez (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.), as well as online at www.mesaverde.org. When ordering online, use coupon code PRESERVE to receive your discount. This sale ends online at 11:59 p.m. Sunday, May 19, and at store closing on May 19. This discount may not be combined with any other discount. As always, proceeds from your purchases support Mesa Verde National Park.

Remember that Mesa Verde Association members receive a 20% discount every day using the code you received when you enrolled or renewed this year. Not a member yet? It's easy to join! Just click here or call us at 1-800-305-6053 or 970-529-4445 for assistance.
