Brenda West named HPISD Executive Director of Personnel
 
Brenda C. West has been named the new HPISD Executive Director of Personnel, and she will join the district July 1. She will be responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of programs including staffing, wage and salary administration, leave administration, performance appraisal, employee relations and benefits. 
 
West comes to HPISD from Lewisville ISD, where she served for eight years, most recently as Executive Director of Human Resource. She previously served as Assistant Superintendent/Director in Kermit ISD, and as an interim principal, assistant principal and elementary teacher in Raymondville ISD.
 
"Brenda West brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this important administrative position," said HPISD Superintendent Dr. Tom Trigg. "She is a gifted recruiter who will ensure that talented teachers vie for jobs in our schools, and she is committed to retaining the highly-skilled teachers and staff we have in place. I look forward to working with her when she comes on board this summer."
 
West is a senior certified professional in the Society for Human Resource Management, and she earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees from Southwest Texas State University.

West and her husband, Brian, live in Frisco. Between them they have three children: Brittany is married and teaches first grade in Midland, Jarod is 19 and is attending commercial flight school in Tulsa, Okla., and Ainsley is 18 and a freshman at the University of Arkansas majoring in biomedical engineering.
