Highland Park ISD is proud to announce the launch of redesigned websites for its elementary, intermediate and middle schools. The web address will stay the same for each campus. McCulloch Intermediate School and Highland Park Middle School will now share the same website.
Each site features a contemporary design and easy-to-navigate system, modeled after the district's site and Highland Park High School's site. The sites are also mobile-compatible, optimized for the smaller screens of smart phones.
Pages from the previous sites have been consolidated into subcategories on the main page for easier navigation. Parent sections offer quick access to essential resources, and each site features a tab for the campus PTA. A search toolbar has also been added to help users quickly find the pages they need.
Each website homepage greets viewers with a rotating set of images to highlight the students, staff and events at each respective campus.
In addition, each website homepage features a link to its respective campus activities calendar. The calendar allows users to filter by group, including campuses, grades and athletic teams. The calendar can be imported to Outlook, iCal, iPhone, Google or Yahoo calendars.
"The design of the new websites, combined with each school's vivid colors, logos and photos of real students, capture the spirit of each school," HPISD Web Services Coordinator David Hicks said. "I would like to congratulate each Campus Instructional Technologist who helped put the site together and trained their faculty members on how to use it."
