Mural Art Gallery  

 

  A few dozen people came to see the murals' new home last Thursday.  The murals that were on the facade of 2 S. Barstow since 2005, can now be viewed in Building 6 of Banbury Place.

  Many people were involved in the ceremony, including City of E.C. Economic Development Director Mike Schatz, E.C. City Council President Kerry Kincaid, Cheri Weinke of the E.C. Area Chamber of Commerce, Mark Willer, President of Downtown Eau Claire, Inc., Janine Wildenberg of the Redevelopment Authority, designer Cecelia Cronk, artist Cyndee Kaiser, and Patti Cigan of Banbury Place.  

  The murals can be viewed during normal business times of the Banbury tenants.

The Frog Will Stay in Eau Claire
 
The frog will continue to daydream in Eau Claire!  Leaders of the Sculpture Tour of Eau Claire say through votes, the "Blind Spot" is the People's Choice Award winner.  Eau Claire Dan Massopust says it took him 4 months to make the 2,000 pound frog.  The frog is daydreaming, he says, while unbeknownst to the creature, a bug has landed in his 'blind spot!'
