For the first time ever, this year's Summer Fest will feature a 10-mile bike ride sponsored by the Eau Claire Bike Pedestrian Advisory Commission. The Tour de Summer Fest will be a casual ride for people of all ages and is expected to be about an hour and a half to complete. The event will start and end at Phoenix Park.
- The Tour de Summer Fest is FREE
- The event will start gathering at 1:30pm and the actual ride will start at 2pm
- There will be a list of everyone that is riding but there will NOT be a formal registration process
- There will be a discussion with the riders before the ride about safety and route information
- All riders NEED a safe bike and a HELMET in order to ride. There will be mechanics and an air pump there to help make needed repairs
- During the ride there will be a lead biker who will be ahead of the pack, a sweeper who will stay at the rear of the pack, and several guide bikers who will ride in the middle of the pack. There will also be guides at busy intersections to help riders move safely

DECI Partners with Saferide Program for Summer Fest
DECI is proud to support Eau Claire County's Saferide Program at this year's Summer Fest.
The Tavern League of Wisconsin works with the Department of
Transportation to administer the SafeRide Program. It exists to
provide free rides home to tavern customers who may feel too
impaired to drive.
The Eau Claire County Tavern League is supporting DECI at Summer Fest by staffing the Leinie Lodge beer tent area. DECI is proud to be contributing financially to the Saferide Program for the League's assistance and expertise!
Thank you to the Eau Claire County Tavern League!
To find out more information on the Saferide Program visit the Tavern League of Wisconsin's website here. |
